AC

I definitely think we should go C for the second option to continue on our previous actions. What's the point of letting people go if we don't now?
We'd be merciful to the soldiers while having killed Donuk. It definitely seems that it'd be great reputation-wise.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

AC

If they don't join, they don't have another warlord to run back to. They'll be forced to become bandits.

You can fake being able to run on water. You can't fake looking cool when you break your foot on a door and hit your head on the floor.

B,B. We've thoroughly trashed them. No sense in letting the ones we have potentially go join them though.

B, B. We took bad damage in that fight - running our army too hard is a recipe for disaster, we've found. We want more troops as well but we don't want them to run to another rebel lord if they don't join, or giving any other faction more experienced fighters. We should take the gear from those we kill too.

You reorganise your forces, then mount a pursuit.
Quote

Despite their lead, the enemy soldiers are tired, and lacking in light cavalry to protect them. Your own cavalry hold them back whilst the rest of your forces catch up.
The knights fight to the death rather than surrender- knowing they can expect no mercy if they do.

And in so doing, manage to inflict some casualties on your forces before going down.

Some of the enemy escape, but many are your captives. You offer the chance for a new life in your army, or a new death.

2
A surprising number choose death, spitting defiance at the men who burnt their home, or perhaps inspired by the knight's lack of fear in the face of oblivion. Whatever the case, you get only a handful of converts.

You learn from your converts that this was most of Donuk's forces- his allies having returned to the south to garrison their most recent conquests. He has (or had) a fort further to the east, with a small garrison. You convene with your commanders, and decide

A-To march on the fort at once!
B-To occupy the ruins of Kolbit, and establish your control of the area from there.
C-To move on and head elsewhere, ignoring these lands.

A No reason to get control of these lands right now, we just looted them, let they see that the battle is lost and make sure most of then run as fuck.

But a fort badly garrisoned is still a fort.

With the fort destroyed we can finish looting these lands and leave.

If the fort surrenders we can man it and use THAT to establish control of the lands rather then a burnt out city.  Also launch the rest of our campaign from a stronger position we can retreat to.

After a day's rest, you set off eastwards, towards Donuk's fort.

You pass by the ruins of Kolbit. Small shacks have popped up amongst the rubble, and several larger buildings are under construction. Everyone you meet spits at the sight of your banner, and several braver individuals shout curses at you (then flee once your soldiers move towards them).

Eventually you reach the aforementioned fort. It is, in fact, a (presumably deceased)noble's villa, crudely converted into a military installation. Still, it sits on a small hill, is surrounded by (low) walls, and has five (crude) wooden towers, similar to the watchtower- one on each corner of the walls, and one in the central courtyard.
Your informants tell you that the fort is well supplied, and would be able to hold out in a siege for a long time.
Therefore, you decide to

A-Assault immediately!
B-Spend a week preparing siege weapons, then launch an assault.
C-Besiege the place anyway.
