Those rebels shall pay for their earlier invasion attempt. And, you know, the whole collapse business. You leave behind a small garrison and start heading for the northern fords.

Woo! Dragonslayer Erin has embarked on a military campaign! Kralicanev will be ably managed by the Advisor.

You cross the fords without incident, and make your way east through the Usyan plains. Farms lie abandoned, houses empty. A cursory examination reveals nothing of worth within.
As you are making your way further east, a scout reports spotting a watchtower in the distance. He doesn't think they saw him, but they are unlikely to miss an entire army.

A-March on. Of course we were going to get spotted at some point.
B-Rush the tower with our cavalry in an attempt to stop them from getting word out.
C-Send a few soldiers under cover of darkness to capture the tower, sneaky-like.
D-Watchtowers? Too well defended, turn back at once.

You hand-pick a squad of elite warriors, and as soon as darkness falls, they make their way to the tower.

You don't have to wait long before one of them comes back to report that the tower was captured almost without a fight. Apparently most of the soldiers were asleep, and surrendered as soon as they realised what was happening.

The presence of a synchronous crystal in the tower is surprising. Good thing you didn't try the charge tactic. You have it decoupled, and claim it as loot. If you can find another, you'll be in business.

With the way forwards clear, you quickly march further east. Now you encounter worked farms, and small populated villages. The people cower before your forces. A commander asks for your orders.

A-Keep marching until we find something more substantial.
B-Send out raiding parties to scour the land for valuables and supplies.
C-Set up camp, and await the coming of defenders.

B We are here for the loot. Also, raiding parties can double as scouts, and it wouldn't hurt to get the lay of the land before further committing our forces.
