Will killing him assert our strength or will it make him a symbol in death? We want to gain influence and power, and choosing the best option here would help greatly in the long run.


So with that in mind, I say A. He's just a warlord. He's not a symbol to his men, right? They don't fight for a cause and decisively killing their leader should help them realize how reckless and unnecessary fighting us can be.

If we do B, can't we make that just like "A" instead? B-but they've got knights and this dude is a figurehead--he's the 'rash' because it's like a short temper. Boisterous, bold, and brash.
...Yeah, A seems better. He'll just spit in our face and say stuff like 'keep attacking' or other demeaning things. While we'd go B--I do wish we do "B", and then let the sword fly up and over to do "A".

On another note, I think at this point, we *want* to begin to have numbers. We want to be able to reliably call in our vassal. I wonder, does he have a daughter?

You parry a few more desperate blows, and then swat aside his guard and drive your sword through his unprotected throat. He gurgles, spitting up blood (which splashes all over your nice new armour), then gently tips over and falls off his horse. Your soldiers cheer, his soldiers let out cries of dismay.

It seems that the loss of their commander has not entirely broken their spirits, though they fight with reduced enthusiasm.

Left flank: 3*
Center: 2*
Right flank: 8*

Indeed, once they have gotten over the shock of losing their leader, the knights continue their relentless assault, pushing back your ranks and dealing numerous casualties. The left flank fares somewhat better, managing to hold back the rebels, whilst the right flank, having thinned the enemy numbers, now completely overwhelms them, with cavalry wheeling out and around, crashing into their rear, wiping them out.

Left flank: 6*
Center: 5*

With the bulk of the right flank wheeling around to reinforce the center, the knights are pushed back. The left flank collapses as well when they see their comrades getting wiped out, and someone issues an order to retreat.

Should we let them flee or run them down?

A-Let none escape! After them!
B-Take a minute to reorganise, then pursue.
C-They've lost enough.

And how do we deal with the captives?

A-Die
B-Join or die
C-Join (or go free)

We'll get an option specifically for the knights--and they can't take an advantage while fleeing anyway. Still rebels, not Bandits.
