If it is not a trick

He may be going in the direction of a ally and going to get bigger. (So we should strike before or gather the troops and run?)
He's in our lands. ._.;

He may have repaired the bridge or constructed another that we don't know about, or is trying to repair the bridge with the troops, that means he will have a siege weapon that can't cross the river. (so we must screw this plan.)
I hadn't assumed this but...it's SPRING now. It was WINTER before, and our scouts would've noticed something in the least as I assume .-.;

Maybe he just want to make us leave our fortifications? what he intends to do? try to lure us into a trap? If we don't follow him he will come back upset that we didn't left our fortifications? Does he found us with his own scouts?

Maybe he just want to bypass our troops and attack the city unguarded.
We're outnumbered 3:1, unsure as to the specific formation however. Can't expect KNIGHTS or otherwise, at the most there would be heavy infantry. We're going to take a lot of losses however but we must plan something...to work this out x.x

Hopefully we secretly rolled a 1, and the numbers either just look bigger, or we're being demoralized. But goodness these choices seem pretty scary.

Going for C
South is not in between us and home. Rebels come from the West so...it's southwest of our home. We could pretty much spot a splinter force moving in, and rushing to his position won't do us ANY good. (We could try to skirmish like how AWESOME that worked against us without any losses on their side before :I but the option doesn't seem to pop up)

And if we return home we just...got forward intel of his 1st move, not including the next following ones.
Although marching SOUTH probably doesn't mean crossing the ford.

You break camp and head south, while your scouts continue to shadow Donuk's army.

Donuk marches south, past Kralicanev, past the broken bridge, until the river turns east and he can march south no longer. Despite the size of his army, he appears to be attempting to move stealthily, avoiding roads and making camp in secluded areas. Had you not been forewarned of his approach, it is quite possible your scouts would've missed him.

Following him on the other side of the river, you are forced to march into the wastelands.

At one point, a pack of giant moles (?) attacks, burrowing up from under the ground and dragging men back down with them, or swiping through armour with their shining metal claws.

Fortunately, you manage to drive them off with only a handful of casualties.

Ships! A fleet of rivercraft come sailing up from downstream, flying an unknown flag. They approach Donuk's hiding place, with the apparent intent of ferrying his army across the river.

A-Then we shall strike them as they disembark- they can't all cross at once!
B-Then we shall establish a defensive position and await him.
C-Then we shall return to Kralicanev, and prepare for a siege.

Your forces wait just out of view until the first of Donuk's soldiers start to disembark.

The sight of enemy soldiers appearing causes the rebels to panic. Some try to board the ships again, whilst others stand and fight. Commanders struggle to organise the troops into some semblance of a formation before your cavalry reaches them.

They are crushed! A few escaped on the ships, and are making their way back to the northern shore, but hundreds were killed or captured. This will put a dent in Donuk's numbers.

No further attempts at crossing the river are made. In fact, for the rest of the day, the opposing force does nothing. Presumably Donuk and his commanders are discussing what to do.

Their decision was apparently to try and flee in the night. Whilst leaving their campfires burning, most of the army tries to sneak off north. Fortunately, your scouts notice this (scout game on point recently), and you quickly assemble a midnight meeting to discuss how to respond.

A-We must march north ourselves at once!
B-We can afford to wait till morning before leaving.

Let's see if we can't bait them into trying to cross again, shall we?

A streak of 6's. Just great to feel that despite our near-death-experience. :D

I wonder if this is a representation of 'retreat' if we picked that in one of the many battles before--what would be the outcome if we were the aggressor?

Strike where is weak and disorganized, if they make a settlement just "leave" and wait for them to start moving again

If it work make all the land know that we beat an army more than 3 times our size plus reinforcements from somewhere.

If he escapes he will hate us very hard. And will be know to lose a battle that was supposed to be easy.

Donuk must be carismatic or the rebels were very united. So many troops wishing to help him.
