The captives are released, to their great pleasure, and your soldiers' displeasure. They and Yalanci head north, to reunite with the rest of his army and return to his keep.

As his overlord, you are of course free to pass through his lands. It would be unseemly to loot the lands of your new vassal, so moving on is really your only choice. The question is, where shall you go?

A-North, into the Southern Forest
B-East, into the Southern Forest (but a different bit of it)
C-South, back into Donuk's territory.
D-West, to the river.
E-Home (South-West)

You decide to pack it in for now. You march west till you reach the river, then south towards the fords.

However, before you can reach them, scouts bring word of an army bearing down upon you. It seems Donuk is out for revenge. The approaching army is smaller than yours, and has a balanced composition.

A-Then we shall march to meet them in glorious battle!
B-Find somewhere defensible to set up camp.
C-Send our cavalry to harass them whilst we continue marching south.
D-Let's avoid them- quick march to the fords.

You manage to find a small hill near a bend in the river, which you quickly set up camp upon.

Within two days the enemy is upon you. They fly Donuk's flag- a shattered tower upon an orange field- and look as though they have been on campaign for a while. Their makeup seems similar to your own, though they have less heavy infantry.
They waste no time with formalities- they march straight at you. Your commanders stand ready to deploy.

We never faced Donuk, actually. We just raided his lands and his watchtower, and his Capital.

What we're facing now is his ARMY.
Presumably, we fight with a -1 Outnumbered modifier. Hopefully nothing more.

"They" i mean the rebels. They marched in our lands, and lost the skirmish. (1 victory)

we raided one of the rebels, we vassalized the other. (2 victotorys, 3x0 to us)
and now the raided guy is trying to revenge us.
