You invest the fort, and settle in for the long haul.

Week 2: The defenders launch a raid against one of your camps during the night. They inflict some casualties and steal some supplies before returning to the fort.

Week 3: Another raid, another set of casualties and stolen supplies.

Week 4: So far, the defenders show no sign of capitulating. You convene a meeting with your commanders to discuss the situation. Eventually you decide to

A-Assault the fort, now that we have had time to prepare siege weapons, and the defenders are weakened!
B-Continue the siege. They'll succumb eventually.
C-Lift the siege. This is taking too long.

You roll up to the fort with a small siege tower and a makeshift battering ram.

The assault goes poorly. The gate proves sturdier than expected, the defenders manning the walls manage to beat back your troops, and all the while their archers rain death upon your troops. If you continue the assault, you risk suffering great casualties. What do?

A-Climb the siege tower yourself, to inspire the troops and take those walls!
B-Continue the assault. Eventually the defenders will be worn down.
C-End the assault, and resume the siege.
D-End the assault, and break off the siege.

D.  Time to give this up as a bad job and go home, we need our troops reinforced with armour and new recruits before we can take this keep.  We'll lose prestige, but we'll save men.

Your footsoldiers have suffered some casualties, both during the raids and the assault. Other troops have suffered minor casualties.
In terms of numbers, you started out with ~3000, and are now down to ~2500.

You call off the assault. The defenders jeer and fire one last volley of arrows at you as you flee tactically retreat. Let's see who's laughing when they're starving to death.

Week 6: The defenders must be truly desperate. They launch a massive assault on your camps, with what must surely be almost all their forces.

You crush them like bugs. And as the few survivors limp back into the fort, your own men manage to reach the gates and hold them open!
It does not take long after your men enter the fort for the remaining defenders to surrender.

After interrogating your new prisoners, you learn that this fort was the base of the bandits controlling this region, but that in recent months there were many defectors due to a lack of funds.
You also learn the reason for their lack of funds; they were paying tribute to a more powerful warlord to the north-west. That, and the region is all but depopulated, and the farms lie unattended.

Out of curiosity, you examine the fort's conduit. Like the ones in Kralicanev, and presumably everywhere else, it has been destroyed by the feedback.

Distractions aside, you must decide what to do now that you have captured the fort.

A-Burn it to the ground!
B-Just leave it, empty but for corpses, and move on.
C-Leave some troops behind to garrison the fort.

And next, what to do with the depopulated region that is now at your mercy:

A-...
B-Nothing. Just move on to richer pastures.
C-Claim it for yourself.
D-Claim it for yourself, and have settlers and supplies sent to reinvigorate the region.

And finally, where to go next.

A-North-west!
B-North, deeper into the hills.
C-West, towards the forest.
D-Home.
