Reginald watched dispassionately as his cavalry was destroyed. "Hmph. It appears they have some measure of grit to them. If it appears they are going to escape, our winged forces will cut them off. The enemies before the group hold their ground, and those behind close the distance. An overeager archer in the front comes near enough to loose an arrow toward Farra. She ducks under the missile, and returns in kind, though with slightly more effectiveness.

Liam brought up the rear, his lance at the ready, his horse turned to follow the others. He intended to bring up the rear. Someone needed to be there, to guard from the enemies that pursued them. Farra was somewhere just behind him. He could hear Sam's tune just a stone's throw away, and Roux had passed him riding in the opposite direction just a moment before. To face down enemies for coin... this was his job.

But still he was uneasy.
