The room is only lit by the dim, cloud blocked daylight streaming in through the door. It's plain to see however that anything of value has been torn from the building. There's blood on the walls as well as the floors, but no sign of any bodies.

So much for an uplifting mood, and a strike against Mordo.  This was a much, much worse sign than a storm.

  "Maybe not.  But if they survived, there might be some indication of where they had gone inside.  Or some hint of what had happened."

  "I'll go in.  Stay out here, keep an eye open, and be ready to--."

Of course, while he was saying as much, Brock went ahead and walked inside himself.  Martyn paused, blinking at the man's back, before shaking his head and following him inside.  If nothing else, the revolutionary's eyes were much better in the darkness.  And he might find some more important clue that Brock had missed.

  "Thirty seconds.  Look around, see if you can find notes or carvings, or anything like an indentation in the floor that might indicate a trap door.  Then we go."

Esther, after the fight, found Sharne quite quickly. She hadn't actually seemed all that effected by Brock's comments - dark magic was about as evil as a lance - it was made for death, as any weapon was. Being colored black didn't make it any more evil.

"I think you can just ignore Brock. Maybe he assumed the Resistance was more glorious or something, and he's pretty obviously never actually seen a hanging if he thinks that they're horribly painful when done professionally so his argument didn't work anyway."

"That said, if the words hurt, I can try to kiss it better for you~" Esther says, slipping into her normal flirtatiousness.

Esther bit her lip. This was baaad...

"Yeah... if something happened, no way they'd have stayed put. But then, there might be something in there to tell us what the plan was. Or someone they missed."

Sharne was nodding in agreement with what Esther was saying right up until the point that kissing was offered. She abruptly stopped and stared at the women flatly for a few long seconds before starting to laugh.

"You always know how to lighten the mood. Thank you for that. And I'll do my best to not let him get to be in the future."

"....I'll stay as long as I please. Might just take a nap in here. It has a nice ambiance to it."

Brock continues to look around the room, poking randomly with the back off his axe.

"Mordo clearly did this....And they had enough time to clean up afterward. Even enough time to loot the place, if someone else didn't take the liberty of doing it themselves. They have been out of the game for a while now...Did the inn keeper tell us when she received her last message from them?"

Kaldach's gaze slowly panned across the outside of the building, watching for any change or any movement.
: "Damn it. Well the blood's obvious, any sign of a struggle? Boss said they had casters, scorch marks would say it was them, at least." He called inside as he kept watch.

"I'm hoping that's soldier's blood rather than the other group's..."
"Anybody else?"

Farra went in, gripping her bow tightly. She kept her eyes mostly on the ceiling, looking for anyone wanting to stage an ambush.
