Sam shook her head. This meeting had gone about as well as she could have hoped.

"Alright, I'm pretty sure Wendy still has some rooms. I'll get you all set up." Creos stood and left the table. His hired swords stood around, looking bored.

"You know, this is usually the part where one of us offers to join you on your quest for some personal reason or something. However, it's not gonna be me; I got a job to do and money to earn." He looked at his coworkers like he was offering them the posistion of a lifetime.

"But I don't need this thing." He said, holding up the bow he swiped from one of the riders. "You can have it."

Give shortbow to Farra.

She looked a little confused; what was this guy talking about?

"...Huh? I don't think we expected you to join, it's obvious you have your job here."

"Either way, thank you for this... Pilei, I believe." She toyed with it for a second, making sure it was still in good shape, which it was. An odd fellow, but kind.

Kaldach watched as the merchant left the room before letting out a small grunt.
: "Hm, that's that. I'll be eating, if anyone needs me."
Lifting himself up and turning around, the mercenary began to leave the room, heading downstairs to whatever dining hall there was.

  "Thank you for the help, Creos.  We appreciate it."

With a tired sigh, the partisan loosened his cloak as the merchant departed.  After a moment, he pushed himself up and made to follow after Kaldach.  Might as well get something to eat before the rooms were ready, after all.

Kaldach and Martyn were held up only slightly by Wendy, the girl who had been at the front desk. She came in to confirm some details with the group before waving the two men ahead to the dining hall, which was on the other side of the building. The woman behind this counter was much older, probably someone's grandmother, and had short silver hair and a long nose. After confirming their room numbers, Martyn and Kaldach were presented with bowls filled with rice, into which had been mixed carrots, onions, and a small helping of diced mutton.

Clasping the bowl and immediately seeking a seat with a knife in hand, Kaldach spared no time in starting to practically inhale the surface of the bowl's contents, pausing only briefly to let the hotter parts of the meal cool off.
: "_{*grf* *gulp*} ...Finally, some decent cooking."

Sharne glanced around, having remained quiet for the meeting. A small sigh escaping her lips, she too headed out of the room, but not to food. Rather, she headed out into the city, wandering mostly aimlessly, stuck with her thoughts and disappointment.

"You eatin' too, blueberry?"
Roux also took the opportunity to grab food.
"Oi, gimmie some of that too, yeah? "

Bertholt simply chuckles as he takes up a bowl and some food himself next to Roux.
"Knowing you, I ought to, before you take the whole thing for yourself."

"Oh, that right?"
Roux leaned over to take a large scoop out of Bert's, grinning.
"I better start then, shouldn't I?"

"My, my. I'll just have to take my share too, then."
Roux finds that an equally large scoop of hers is also missing as Bert takes a scoop of hers.
"An army marches on its stomach and all."

[Sirus]

: "Leave some for me!" The bard grabbed a bowl and sat herself down near Martyn. "Mmm. Better than I expected. I was half-afraid I'd find ash in it."

: "_*grlf* Don't know how _*snarf* they'd manage to stay in business if _*gulp* they let that happen."
