Goblin, for the entire world? That's rather mysterious. It could hint at the world's past, even. Once ruled by Goblins? Once occupied by only Goblins?
My world is "Athira Etha", the Planes of Prophecy. A neat ruin is "Inkedfog", which has a dark sort of sound to it.
I like to stick to one edge of the world (primarily) and explore outwards, eventually returning. The reason for this is I eventually get very familiar with the landscape there, and it feels more like a home to me. In this world, I stick to "Ramadur Xem". It means... um. Rama is human for Free, dur is Empire, Xem is Myth. The Free Empire of Myth?
It has some neat places. A town called "Crystalpines", a ruin called "Diemists", a ruin called "Lastsaint" in "The Basic Swamp" (I love the genericness!) A town in the Prarie of Acting called "Twistriver", between two branching rivers. A town called "Masterarmors" near another called "Munchguard", and to the west in the mountains, the dark fortress "Leopardscorpions".
Top it all off, it's a desert, really nasty conditions, but you can see very far in every direction.
Leopardscorpions is on the same mountain that actually locks off a good portion of my world, blocking a nice set of land into the southwest corner. I can make a fortress there, and there is even contact to humans elves and dwarves, but there are naught but dark fortresses of various levels. I find that mysterious too.
