ACHIEVEMENT GET!
Let's be honest here, when it comes to games we all know what we
really want. It isn't about the characters, or the plot, or anything like that.
No, it's about the achievements! Glorious, wonderful, mouth-watering achievements! What purpose is there in a game other than to acquire every last succulent achievement?
Therefore, I am bringing that most honored of art forms - achievement hunting - and bringing it to a new medium: Forum Games! What are you waiting for? Get those achievements!
- There are 100 achievements, of which players know the names but not how to get them.
- Whenever a player scores an achievement, they get a point. That achievement cannot be obtained by any other player.
- Each player has six attributes: Strength (STR), Vitality (VIT), Speed (SPD), Magic (MAG), Charisma (CHA), and Luck (LCK). A player has a "pool" of each attribute, and points are deducted from the appropriate pool whenever the player uses an ability. One point in one random attribute is regained at the end of every turn.
- All player actions are determined by rolling a d20. Rolls can get bonuses or maluses(?) depending on certain factors. The higher the roll, the better your success in that action.
- Players may expend attributes on normal actions to boost their rolls. For example, if a player is running and wishes to run faster, they may expend one SPD to get a better roll.
- Turns will be posted every couple of days. I'll try to wait for everyone to post, but I won't wait an excessively long time for anyone.
- A player's abilities are determined by their class, which is chosen at character creation.
- New abilities can be learned via a variety of methods. This can be done in a variety of ways.
- The GM decides how stats are spread out, what abilities each players has, each character's bonuses and maluses, and what each character's items are. Players only choose what their class is, nothing more.
- A class can be anything, from a modern profession, to a classic RPG archetype, to anything you can come up with, really. Use your imagination!
- If a character dies, they must wait for one turn before they are plopped down in a random position. They do not get to keep any items they had when they died, but they retain their abilities.
- When the final achievement is unlocked, whoever has the most points wins!
- What is your Name?
- What is your Class?
- What is your Text Color?
