Your fort's most valuable item.
« on: November 14, 2007, 03:49:00 am »

There was a similar thread for the old version. Let's start a new one!  :)
(bonus points for item being non-artifact)

My item is an artifact, crafted by my armorer via posession.

Abanagastas, "The Constructive Over-Rogue", a platinum greaves. Value 290400.

This is a Platinum greaves. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It is studded with Platinum and encirlced with bands of Platinum and Chrysoprase. On the item is an image of dwarves in Platinum. The dwarves are travelling.

Let's see who can do better!

Platinum chainmail. If I recall, menaces with spikes of aluminum and fire opal, picture of dwarves laboring in aluminum. It's called "something the Skinny Guild of Weirds." (I'll fill in the something later, forget what it was... that fort is on another computer)

Worth 440000.

Was hoping for a plate mail, but that's still second best :P

Tower cap earring. Value: 57600*
Violetsence the rage of Lanterns
"It is studded with Aluminum and encircled with a bands of Tower-cap and Acadia. This object menaces with spikes of cave spider silk. On the item is an image of a dwarf in Tower-cap. The dwarf is making a plainitive gesture.
On the item is an image of dwarves in Slate. the dwarves are laboring.
On the item is an image of elves and dwarwes in Andesite. The elves are speaking with the dwarves."

Haha, thats alot of materials... 2 tower-cap logs, 1 Slate, 1 spider silk, 1 acadia(?), 1 Andesite.... Not worth as much the other ones mentioned here, but this is my most valuable item.  :)

I've got an artifact leather short skirt. Possibly the lamest artifact ever, but worth about 13k.

Until a dwarf makes an engraving (or another artifact that references this one) with an image of a dwarf lifting the leather skirt (as in some one's signature)  ;)

Ha!  Mistemikud has you all beat in lameness!

Thus far, two items tie:  a pair of artifact hatch covers, each worth a whopping 4,800 each!

Beat that!

Hah! You call that lame? In Tosidalmosh, glorious Armorgleam, richest of all the mountain-holds of the north, a peasant possessed of a fey mood recently saw fit to add to the nine-million-plus net worth of the fortress with amrur, "Speechrun", a goblin bone pick. It is decorated with goblin bone. Net value: 2400*.

Fourteen artifacts strong and none have broken the six digit mark. My highest weighs in at 84800*, a pig tail coat named, appropriately enough, Wearloots.

Is anyone actually wearing it, though?

Get it studded with more adamantine. And aluminum. And platinum. And have it menace with spikes of raw adamantine. You can decorate single objects by assigning a custom stockpile to just that object.

If the crafter is still holding it, {v}iew them, check out their {i}nventory, use /, *, -, + to find the artifact on the list, then press enter. You might have to hit v again to see the value, I don't remember off hand (though I'm leaning towards not having to).
