When day comes, take the hopefully dry mold, and place it just under the furnace spigot. Block the spigot with a chunk of well-fitting stone, and fire up the hematite ore.

Once the metal is molten, use my pick to remove the spigot plug, and allow the iron to run into the ingot mold.
