This is probably a dumb question, but why aren't we holding up in the building? We can at least fend off the first wave and not get immediately swamped with sheer numbers that way.

I'm not suggesting that we turtle indefinitely. Let's just use this nice and solid defensive structure, thin out the initial wave in relative safety, and then make a break for it.

If nothing else we'll probably level up a couple of times and be better prepared for future waves.

A cluster that reinforcements are about to make much much worse. Rain hurts mounted units the most I believe so we should be able to use that to our advantage somewhat. Plus we don't have anyone that's actually good enough at tanking to actually hold that choke and they have enough range that they'd be able to break through even if we do try and body block.

More seriously, if "two dozen fighters plus mages" couldn't deal with these guys than logically we should stand no chance at all, even if we do run right now.

I stand by my opinion, but I guess it looks like we're sticking to the other plan.
