"How durable is that body of yours?""Quite so, you are not alone in using it as a shield."So with this giant fucking bird crashing down at you, what do you do? You fucking draw your pistol, and fire once. Granted, it's a fifty cal, but the bird's larger than a fucking house. The bullet embeds but well, it ain't stopping it in its tracks. Not directly. It sqawks in alarm, its wings forcing themselves open. It's slowing! But it's still coming down fast, too damn fast.
It's enough though. Victoria grabs her body and plants her sword down, forcing you behind her. Evi meanwhile grabs Hanako and leaps onto the newly vacated wheelchair, rewiring the strands of condensed psionic she's spent most of this battle forcing into it to link with the lances still embedded in the bird's wings. The end result? The two ladies getting sling shot towards the bird as its talons slam down, the explosion of air missing the pair.
Meanwhile for you three on the ground, the wind is, yeah, not ideal, but it seems to sort of split before you, the brunt of it missing you. Still everyone finds themselves being thrown up into the air.
With the wheelchair now slamming against the bird's throat, Evi retracts her next set of threads, reeling herself and Hanako down onto its back. Shaking with fear and adrenaline the sniper gets to work, her regalia shifting and anchoring itself into the beast's flesh as a freshly deployed shadow clone lowers the sniper cannon's barrel right against the base of the monster's neck and pulls the trigger.
The impact slams it against the tower, the recoil tears the weapon and a great deal of its cloak-like hide from its body, the shadow clone dissipating as the regalia slams into its chest. The bird is still alive. The bird is still moving. For now.
Remember how Hanako's Regalia fires drills?
Well you ever had one of those shredding garbage disposal units in your sinks? You hear something like that, but louder, angrier. A geyser of blood, bone, and spinal fluid just fucking erupts as the drill tears deeper and deeper into the creature's body, its body reduced to really just twitching.
It's at this point that Léone dashes over over its head, dropping Victoria's limp body onto it. A frightfully large crucifix of holy light forming in her raised hand.
"Shef! This task can be done with a single arm." She holds out her other arm, bracing for the impact.
This encounter is basically over. What happens next, is a mere formality. Take the shot.
Powder, you're right, the Alteration regen rate might be a little crazy. The Magus was able to maintain pretty good rolls by spamming those, even if last turn it ended up running dry. I might try halving the rate for the next test or something. So everyone starts off with 10 points, but each +1/-1 costs 2 alteration points.
