Yuki took a moment to take in the situation. In terms of immediate threats - the grenades from downstairs, the remaining guard team in the booth, the new Dopants; Shef was fighting two squads downstairs. Two threats outside, not immediately relevant. Noriko and Minato seemed to have the magic circle and the squad that was tossing grenades handled Faith was hitting the explosives and helping Shef, Shef was keeping the VIP safe. That left the Dopants for Yuki. This kind of focus and awareness was actually kind of refreshing - it didn't even take half a second to process that.

She looked over the railing and put out two quick shots towards the group behind the DJ booth. The pistol cracked, and two black arrows shot from it's muzzle towards the targets; she'd try to hit the commander, and if he went down easy, the mage in the group. She had another target then.

The Dopants - she wasn't going to give them time to set up. She fired off a few damaging shots as she dived to cover, both from them and the grenades (and brought Faith with her, if she didn't move from the grenades herself). She would seem to have missed - but when the bullets struck the wall next to the Dopants, the black arrows would come out and charge into them from the sides, a distraction for the teleportation arrow coming in. "Je reviens-" Yuki started to say, before taking a moment and forcing herself to try and speak normally. "What I mean is - be right back Faith!" There! She could still speak Japanese! Felt a bit more like an extra language for some reason, but whatever, she'd think about that later.

When Yuki teleported to the arrow she was already going for a grab at the nearest Dopant's throat. "Bonjour. You've made a mistake." she said, before pulling it around to keep it's body between her and enemy fire as she shot the other Dopant.

Above actions
TLDR:
-Give some supporting shots down at Squad C to help Shef
-Don't get grenaded
-Fire some distracting shots at the dopants to keep the teleport arrow intact
-Human shield and shoot

Kouta

He'd taken a series of increasingly large risks; now might be the time to do something "safe." Kouta tried to shuffle himself forward, awkwardly attempting to maintain a solid grip on the gun and maneuver into a position where he could actually climb onto the van. The shotgun wasn't going to knock down his assailants, but it could protect him and his friends in other ways. If he couldn't properly climb into the van - or if someone decided to make it impossible - he'd shoot out the tire and slow them down that way. He didn't have to actually stop them, he just had to slow them down and make it clear who it was for when help arrived.

Ya boi Kouta

[Now Playing: Adrenaline]

You bend your knee as if crouching, drawing yourself towards the van, keeping the gun pointed as steadily as you can to now-open rear. The foes inside have retreated for now, taking cover behind the rear seats.

One hand hooked under the car, another holding you weapon you shift your position, skating upright on both feet before climbing up.

The van swerves to the left pulling a hard turn right as you get in. You see a mote of light appear before you, there's a flash of neon, a broken starbow and shattered superluminality. An explosion.

The pinpoint blast throws you out the rear as you swing down the gun and send a spray of bolts into one of the tyres, ripping it apart with a satsif-

[Now Playing: Nothing]

Ah... what happened?

Screams. Your hear screaming. Panic, commotion. You taste iron in your mouth.

You feel like you just got hit by a truck. Lifting your head up (ow you're sore) it looks that that is exactly what happened. You got launched right in front of a truck.

You try getting up, but you can't. You can't move. You're not paralyzed or anything. You just can't get up. That chaos, that hit, it just, took too much out of you.

You see the van slip away, it's swerving erratically, trailing sparks from its popped tyre. They're getting away. Still.

Time. You need to buy more time. At least, you think you do? The AIs are saying something into your ear but you can't quite make it out beneath that adrenaline haze.

You lie back down trying to regather your strength, the rain falling down on your face, your pulse pounding away in your ears.

You hear it.

[Now Playing: 飄逸桜]

You hear it. In the rumble of the traffic upon the asphalt. You hear it. In the squawking of the birds above. You hear it in the buzz of the streetlights and the hum of the convenience store lights, in the whirr of the security cameras and the woosh of the automatic doors.

It is all noise. Unintelligible noise. And yet you understand. You understand the meaning behind the words though they make no sense to you. You understand their meaning though they are meaningless. You feel it reaching out to you. Reaching into the your. Into your body. Into your soul.

And you understand what must be done.

There is still time.

You can still save everyone.

Make the contract

Kouta

Noriko's going to be mad at me.

He was out of strength. He never had much to start with, and it seemed he'd just run out. Kouta was not, in fact, his sister. He wasn't a Godslayer, no matter what fantasies ran through his head on dreary days. He'd agreed with Noriko to undergo this procedure so he'd be slightly less helpless, but that didn't mean he was actually capable of the most basic fighting that her and her friends did. And because of this, because he was still the anxious, powerless boy he'd been, he was about to lose a slew of friends, watching them be snatched away for some nefarious purpose. It wasn't his fault, but that didn't mean he had to accept it.

I'll do what you need me to do. Just give me what I need to help them.

Kouta

[Now Playing: 飄逸桜]

There is a flash. Not the kind you see, rather the kind you feel. One you feel with all your body. All your soul. It is the return stroke of a thunderbolt frozen in time. It is the light of a supernova captured in a snowglobe. It is half a lifetime's worth of sensation. Compressed, condensed into ten minutes of subjective time, and ten seconds of real time.

For ten seconds you are ablaze. Your veins filled with burning neon. With rebar and steel. Glass and asphalt.

For ten seconds your heartbeat is the heartbeat of the city. Your pulse the rumble of traffic, the passage of the trains. Your heart, Sendo's heart, beating as one.

For ten seconds you see through a thousand eyes. A thousand eyes and a thousand more. Every camera and every window, every pump and every thermostat. You see all. You are all.

For ten seconds you are nothing. Nothing at all. An empty husk of body. A consciousness that outgrew its mortal form. A mindless god desperately clinging to the last shreds of his humanity. A boy who became a man, became more than a man, became more than man. More than what he was, more than who he was, more than his own will.

For ten seconds you are not Kouta. You are something else. Something too expansive, too alien. Too expansive to see the plight of a single boy. Too alien to know what it even means. And yet, not alien enough to feel that sense of loss. Of losing something too precious to put into words. Of losing everything that ever mattered.

For ten seconds you shed what you are, what you have become. A shooting star burning up in atmosphere. A god falling from his heaven. You renounce it. You renounce it all. All that you are. All that you had become. Shred by shred you lose it. Your power. Your mind. And shred by shred you reclaim it. Your humanity. Your sense of self.

At the ten seconds' end, you are Kouta once more. You are not Sendo. Sendo is not you. But you were once one and the same. And you remain entangled. Bound together by some metaphysical umbilical.

The umbilical becomes a ring. The ring becomes a mantle. The mantle becomes a covenant. The Covenant. That which grants you power. Across your body, dormant augmentations flare to life, coloring the connection and being colored in turn. One by one your systems power on. One by one your powers awaken.

Rejoice for you are more than you were.

Rejoice for it is done.

The Contract is Sealed.

The Crown has its King.

Welcome, Sysadmin Kouta.

[Now Playing: Ultraviolence]

Rain falls upon the intersection, droplets glistening marbles filled with stolen color, city lights refracted across their surface.

You rise. A mantle of liquid glass unfurls behind you splitting into a pair of crystalline wings. You find yourself sporting a bulletproof vest a snowflake sigil inscribed upon the front, you find you now have pads strapped across your arms and shins. What you do not find yourself with is an urge to eat babies and huff the souls of innocent kittens. That's good. What you do not find yourself with is an actual weapon, beyond the now-broken shotgun. That's not so good.

Welp, guess you'll have to stop the van with magic then. Er, how do you use magic? You know how to power things with spirit energy, but that's not really the same? At least, you don't think it's the same? Uh hold on a sec...

Okay cool, you just need to reach out. Expand your consciousness. Reach out through the city. Through your domain. Okay you feel a lot of things. Is there any way to... oh cool you can sort of filter things, cut it down to just what is relevant. Let's see, you need something near the van, something that might be able to stop it. Hmm, there is something under the road? Okay, let's give that a shot.

You reach out into it and pull.

You see it through a nearby security camera. You see it. A burst pipe, springing up from the road. The break fashioning its end into a lance, a hypodermic spear.

There was simply not enough time to react. Reinforcement magic flares through the pipe and van crashes into it head on. It pierces the engine block. It pierces the driver's helmet. Pierces the driver's head. Red and black pigment splatter across the interior of the van.

It is stopped now. Well, that's a thing.

Enemies dive out of the van, taking up firing positions. And much like the years in Smashmouth's hit single All Star they don't stop coming. Good lord do they not stop coming. It's like a clown car up in here. Two whole squads of them, these weird mummy-like figures made out of red and black and clad in tactical armor fanning out behind cars and taking up firing positions.

Four beams rip out of the beam. One aimed right at your head you. They expand violently, each blooming out to reveal one of those armored figures. Two are armed with rifles and appearing behind cars on either side of you. One is stopping short of you with a shotgun. The last appearing right above you, this one isn't armed and is opting instead to try and deliver flying axe kick straight to your head.

Okay, so they have basically what amount to personal slipspace drives or something. Wonderful. They're trying to suppress you, you realize. Trying to by time for the two other squads to set up their position. And for the two more to flee.

Oh yes, there are two more squads. Another armored group warping themselves and your friends over to the fire escape of a nearby office building. Another paint monster group sprinting behind them presumably to help support them.

Okay, what are you options here?

You feel reasonably confident in your ability to take the hit. You feel stronger, plus your charm still has a bit of charge left. Judging by what happened earlier you think you should be able to retaliate fairly reliably since if getting hit with an explosion wasn't enough to throw you off your game then, it probably would be doing even less now. That being said any hit you do take will probably throw you off balance because you are literally a twelve year old. Also you are not going to be able to block, because you have no self defence training and you don't think you have any magical barriers you can put up. Still you do feel faster so your should be able to dodge fairly well.

In terms of what follows, well... you think you might be able to do some proper damage here. Even without a weapon. Even though you're again, literally a twelve year old. That being said you'd really feel a lot more confident with a weapon in your hands. Something ranged like one of those guns they're carrying.

You could probably use your magic to attack them too. In fact, something that stands out to you for no particular reason is something up in that car park over there. You think it might be a self-driving car. And you think you could probably drop it on one of the enemies attacking you.

Something flashes in the corners of your mind.

Transform. Summon Gleipnir mid-transformation and use the chain as a whip to catch the Dopants, knocking them off balance and away from them.

Kouta

He hadn't known what to expect when he reached out, but this possibility hadn't occurred to him. A link to the entire city, becoming its hero in the closest sense possible - he might have thought about that further if he didn't have multiple people aiming firearms at him at this very instant.

First he had to dodge. Could he do more? Kouta jumped forward and laterally, trying to simultaneously throw off the aim of his opponents and force them to rake their lines of fire across one another. Without thinking too hard about it, he snatched at the car park, yanking whatever it really was towards his current assailants. If all this didn't manage to get him shot and knocked around, he'd continue his pursuit, trying to get ahead of the squad currently trying to make off with his friends.

Kouta
Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

[Now Playing: Ultraviolence]

You leap to the side as the kick slams down cracking the ground where you were just standing, positioning A between you and B as the latter fires, a spray of arcane pellets phasing straight through? The blast catches you by surprise knocking you on your back as your charm expends the last of its charge to shield you. They have I-frames?!

Dopants C and D bring their rifles to bear aiming to gun you down and keep you down.

It is that this point that the Tesla comes crashing through the damn wall. D dives for cover as their position is showed with dust and debris, spinning tyres missing their head by mere inches. C still fires though, the jerk, raking you with automatic fire.

"Kouta! Oh. Oh."

You are hurt. Slightly hurt.

Well, that certainly puts things into perspective. Still getting shot sucks and you don't weigh much. But you know what does? A Model X.

You gun the engine sending the vehicle screaming right over you. Latching onto its underside you reach into its systems, accessing its sensor feeds as you send five thousand pounds of angry whirring steel crashing into C, crushing the unfortunate Dopant. One down. A lot more to go. There's got to be a faster way of doing this.

Well, you guess if you get the car close enough you could detonate the battery and... wait, what this? There's something inside the car. You roll out from under it, opening the doors as you do so. As you get up you find that sitting in the backseat is stringless longbow. At least you think it's a longbow? Your augs are registering it as particle beam weapon. Either way it's yours know as you move your hand to where the string should be a thin filament of light forms.

That's not all that's happening either. You see something in a security camera near Squad B. A boy sprints out of the crowd, closing his umbrella and tossing away his raincoat.

You recognize him. Yuri Kalashnikov. A mysterious transfer student who joined your class just last week. He wears a strange eyepatch. No one's ever seen his parents. Suffice to say, this is not a surprising development.

By the time the squad notice it is far too late, he is already in their midst. He stabs one of the Hunters with one of his umbrella, snatching their pistol off their belt and firing a pair of two-round bursts into their comrades, catching two of them in the throat killing them instantly. The stabbed Hunter recovers from the hit and tries gunning down the boy, but instead just topples over and expires on the spot. The squad commander fares even worse - Yuri doesn't even do anything to them and they're already doubling over, vomiting what amounts to their own blood all over the pavement. You have no idea what just happened there but one thing is for sure - Yuri was completely uninvolved.

Dopant A is now trying to cast another pinpoint explosion at you while B and C ready to cover your escape routes with their respective weapons.

The remnants of Squad B move to engage Yuri. Two members of Squad A also open fire on Yuri. One member fires their grenade launcher at you. The remaining three (including their commander) pull out weird syringe like implements and stab themselves with them.

The other squads have managed to enter the building's fire escape.

Team Clusterfuck
Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

[Now Playing: Red Circle]

Okay so, opening maneuvers.

Faith lobs a ball of energy off the balcony and tackled into a booth by Yuki as her position explodes with shrapnel. Noriko leaps into the air, sending a pair of spears to intercept the gre- "Impact detonated." Okay change of plans, she spins her spears, swinging them like murderous baseball bats as she amplifies the air coming off of them, blowing the munitions off course before the magic circle above bursts into flames and she crashes up through the ceiling.

Below, Minato spins and transforms, summoning the a forgery of meteor hammer. He connects its chain to Gleipnir. Thanks to his spinning motion he's already readied the chain for his next move, kicking it into one of the Judgement Dopants, cracking their helmet and sending them staggering back a few paces. He yanks the chain back, delivering a second kick that sends the hammer head slamming into the other Dopant.

The magical failsafe detonates and Hunter A is all but annihilated. Their booth and a good chunk of the wall near them blown to smithereens.

Shef meanwhile gets to witness his team's return fire first hand. Two deflected grenades streak down into the DJ's booth, sending the Hunters of Squad C diving for cover. Two perish in the ensuing blast.

Faith's new spell is even more spectacular still. A pillar of fire explodes inside the bar, flames scorching Squad B's members, badly wounding all of them but inflicting no fatalities. That being said it prevents any of them from actually getting their shots off. And they seem to have trouble getting back up since they're kinda just flopping like fish right now, limbs not fully responding to their commands.

A two round burst of Black Arrows strike the ceiling, the arrows ricocheting off, falling into the midst of the still recovering Squad C, they converge on the squad's commander quickly decapitating them.

With his immediate threats eliminated, Shef portals himself and Hanzo over near an exterior wall, portaled RAM shots blowing holes through the necks of several Squad B members, their commander amongst them.

Up on the roof Noriko erupt up in a plume of debris daring anyone to challenge her control of the air. On a rooftop across the road, four Hunters answer her challenge. They're a little more complicated looking than the regular Hunters, a bit taller, their armor a little elaborate like those of the squad commanders. They're armed with DMRs and sport additional optic units on their helmets. They're also accurate. Terrifyingly so. A threat to even Noriko's mobility.

Course Noriko doesn't just have mobility on her side now. She has Reinforcement. And she's damn good at it. She swoops behind the falling debris spreading her magic through one of the larger pieces, using it as a shield before diving behind more permanent cover.

Two magic circles trace above her. They're trying to flush her out.

Down below the Judgement Dopants have decided to reprioritize sweeping their weapons towards Minato when suddenly a Black Arrow leaps out of the darkness and into one of the pair. A supposedly missed shot shredding into their armor in a spray of dust and pulverized masonry. The impact slams them into their partner. Minato spins his chain around his own body, preparing for future skirmishes. He doesn't need to concern himself with the Dopants anymore - he sees the final arrow.

A teleportation arrow snaking through the darkness and discharging. Yuki appears, grabbing one of Dopants and quickly putting a burst into their partner, ragged gashes rending through their already weakened armor and killing the mononoke within. Well, she no longer had any need for her shield. So she presses her barrel to their head and pulls the trigger until the struggling stops.

It's at this point that the vines explosively accelerate their growth erupt out from under the floor all around Faith, Minato, and Yuki. All across them tomatoes grow at a frightful pace. Frightful because they seem to be shuddering and glowing with energy.

Sirens blaring, an armored police van crashes through the wall next to Shef. The driver side door swings open, no one is inside.

Seeing this, the remnants of Squad C open fire on him and Hanzo with their grenade launchers. Squad B would probably be attempting the same if they could actually get up.

Kouta

A bow. A bow? It wasn't exactly a weapon he was expecting, particularly one that was actually a particle cannon, but it felt right. "I'm alright! I think. Just save my friends!" He didn't have much more time to speak as he snatched the bow, the weapon coming to life. He pulled the string back as he lunged forward, aiming at Hyperspace Dopant D just as the car lurched and swerved toward Dopant A. "Y-Yuri! Those things ran into the building with everyone, we need to save them!" He was reminded of how Noriko had responded to being suddenly thrown into this. Just, don't think about the insanity until the current problem was dealt with. She always focused on the problem at hand without letting herself get sidetracked, so he could do the same thing.

Noriko

A number of threads ran side-by-side in Noriko's mind, threatening to pull her focus away from the problem at hand. Her continuing anger at Minato (and, at this point, the rest of the team) almost stopped her from calling out for help. It wasn't as if she could rely on that sort of thing anyway, right? "Marksman squad on the roof! I'm going to try and take them out." She gritted her teeth, rolling out from behind her cover. She paused for an instant, halfway between standing and crouching, and pulled at herself before disappearing into the air in a flash. Her two spears ripped out of the building to fling themselves at the marksmen across the road, but that wasn't the main threat to their well-being. Her own spear was held in a stiff grip as she turned to dive down on her foes, aiming to annihilate them in a single blow.

The evac had arrived! That was an extraordinary relief. Self driving, it seemed, Shef determined not to question it, throwing Hanzo unceremoniously in, and slamming the door. He himself grabbed onto the side, an escort of sorts. Noriko's tense words rang out through the comms. Marksmen? They'd certainly target the van, needed to be dealt with. But not by him. He was out of breath, limbs aching and a bit slow—that aura had taken its toll—and he could no longer sense things around him. Something told him were he to attempt to control anyone, it would fail.

"Yuki, you're going—wow—you're going upstairs." Since when had she fought like that!? Incredible. Shef blinked, trying to refocus away from the spectacle that Yuki had put on. He didn't know where the marksmen were precisely, but he was dead certain that they would not be on the club itself, and would instead have taken up a vantage point from another roof top nearby. If he got the wrong roof, hopefully the girl could teleport to the right one. Meanwhile, grenades? Trivial. Interception shots, and a standard portal, return to sender.

Room to Breathe[4] to bring Yuki up into the sky over the adjacent rooftop so she can assist with the marksmen. Intercept the grenades with bullets and regular portals in the simplest manner.

"Alright!" Yuki said, hopping through the provided portal. Once she was through the portal, response would depend on where she ended up.

If she was on the same roof as the marksmen, ideally close to them, well, time to get to work; if there's some distance, fire off some arrows while closing (targetting leaders if there are any, otherwise just the ones furthest from Yuki). If someone's too close to shoot, grapple; get them in the way of each other's attacks. Shoot anyone that isn't brave enough to close the distance. Priority is making sure they don't get the opportunity to attack either Noriko or the escape vehicle - they either focus on Yuki or they die when she shoots them in the back. Ideally, focus on Yuki and die. If neccesary, [6] Determination to make sure they can't force her to disengage.

If on another roof or at long range, as above but closing the distance with a Surprise Attack (of Justice) with a 5.

In either case, get a teleport arrow going down to ground level, trailing the van to hopefully let Yuki catch up (and possibly yeet herself into any pursuiing enemies).

Above. Alter current result to 5. If hypers are needed use the latest results on the line.

Your bowstring crackles with energy as you draw it and a pale line traces through your vision? An aiming indicator? You see the projected trajectory of your shot, and you see it terminate, ending in a thicker brighter tip in midair. Limited range? No wait, you can adjust the distance, with fine near imperceptible shifts of your hands. Airburst? It seems to pass straight through the car.

You take a chance and let it loose.

There's a flash of light and a faint discharge from your bow. Acceleration byproducts. The real payload remains unseen - a relativistic packet of xenolexic particles. It passes through the air, through the car in an instant, unaffected by electromagnetism and strong nuclear force. It is manages reach as far as the inside of Dopant D's helmet when its enchantment wears off the packet disintegrating into a spray of particles. While your "arrow" was predominantly xenolexic, its decay products were not, seemingly exploding within Dopant D's head and rendering them quite dead.

You lunge forwards, out of the way of A's spell, out of the path of the incoming grenade and right into B's firing arc. At least, you would have if they still had their weapon: it just got shot out of their hands. You out an arrow in their head and ram your car into A, crushing them against a streetlight before they can warp away.

There's another explosion and you see that the car Squad A was hosing behind has just exploded, killing three of its members. Two of them have apparently donned suits of stone armor that make them look like they're wearing miniaturized cathedrals with matching gatling guns. The blast has cracked their armor and they've taken some shrapnel wounds to their sides. Their commander meanwhile remains unscathed and is now has the spectral skeleton of an eastern dragon coined around it, its bones plated with chrome with exhaust pipes for horns and miniaturized jet engines for vertebrae. So, that's a thing.

Now while you were doing all of that, Yuri was running clean up. He first swung around the car he was next to, taking cover from Squad A and B's return fire. He then fired a quick shot into Dopant B's weapon, blowing it out of their hands before they could fire at you. With that out the way, he spins around, catching the Squad A remnants as they attempted a flank, putting a two-round burst into each with fatal results before snatching up an assault rifle and forcing Squad A into cover as they injected themselves, two members gaining the weird armor to their syringes cry of JUDGEMENT!, the squad leader gaining that weird dragon as they call out "「Smooth Operator」".

It was at this point that he produced a detonator and set off the explosives inside the car.

Now, in the aftermath of the explosion, the two newly forged and newly wounded Judgement Dopants begin picking themselves up off their floor, weapons spinning up. A aims for you. B for Yuri. The squad leader, Tactical A meanwhile just takes out an awfully large hip flask and guzzles the whole thing before drawing a pair of ornate silvery flintlocks.

Oh also Squad B's leader falls into a coma and doesn't wake up.

Alteration to 5, activate Gate of the Grand Arsenal. Position the weapons to counter the incoming tomatoes like ablative armor.

Kouta

Hunter Module. Hunter Module? He was fighting Hunters, did that have something to do with them? Either way, he was still hunting that second squad, so it was worth a shot.

Kouta uses Hunter Module.

He stayed moving, trying to keep cover and distance between himself and the enemies firing at him. A shot from his bow directly into the gun of Dopant B would hopefully give Yuri some clearance to do his work, which in turn might leave Kouta a bit better off. He had other things to take care of than wiping out the remainder of foes on the street, though. Kouta reached out with his newfound senses, searching the building for the location of the second squad of Dopants. If he lost track of them, this whole thing was pointless. Once he had a decent bead on them - or failed to get one - he'd move toward the building, aiming to intercept them.

Meanwhile, the battered Tesla backed up and prepared itself for another attack, angling straight for the man with the odd skeleton-dragon-Stand-thing.

Kouta
Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

[Now Playing: Ultraviolence]

You focus, pouring your will into activating the module and you feel yourself disperse. Your consciousness, your awareness, your existence cascading outwards. Like when you first made that contract, but more limited, more controlled. You see through both eyes and cameras as the asphalt leaps up from under your feet, racing up to recolor your jeans and form a hoodie over your upper body. Your bow shifts, peculiar pylons extending from its frame giving it a bulkier appearance as its "string" dims out of existence.

Nothing happens as you pull it. Nothing you can see at least. Nothing you can hear. Now crackling energy. No filament of light. Just the strain of the string against your hand, a greater strain than before.

Through cameras you see Yuri drop the rifle, separating its grenade launcher and keeping it in his hands. You see Dopant Squad B warping up the fire escape with your friends, headed for the roof. You see Hunter Squad C bring up the rear, one of its members jamming a flag down into position, one that begin summoning orbs of arcane energy around itself. You see your aiming indicator, the line now terminating in the outline of a blast, a blast that only grows as you draw the string back further.

You shift it over B's weapon and let it loose.

The effect is instantaneous, the weapon straight up detonates its barrels torn up and mangled by an internal explosion. The blast slams the body of the weapon back into the Dopant's chest immediately knocking them back down. A follow up grenade from Yuri ensure they stay down as he sprints into the fray, drawing a knife in an ice pick grip.

Now Dopant A isn't an idiot, it realizes it doesn't have the time to spin up its weapon, opting to drop the gatling in favor of melee.

Fist glowing with radiant light it rushes forward to strike Yuri. Unfortunately what it fails to realize is that the previous blast had blasted off part of its vambraces, something that becomes abundantly clear when the boy parries the blow, slicing open their radial artery in a single fluid motion. Driven by pain and reflex the Dopant moves its other hand to cover the wound and stop the bleeding as Yuri pulls them off balance and towards the ground in a display of unnatural strength, slashing them in the armpit and sweeping around into their flank, repurposing the Dopant as a palisade against its own CO as he ends its life with a stab to the neck.

Not that the Tactical makes any attacks, it's at first too busy drinking, and then too busy stumbling out of the way as you try and run them down with a Tesla. You roll out from under it, having realized that it was faster to hitch a ride than to run, at least with your current module in play.

The building's doors slide open as does one of its elevators. You're pretty sure you could make the latter go a lot faster. You're also pretty sure you you could snipe one of the squads in the fire escape if you wanted to.

Course you do still have to cross the building's lobby and Tactical A, having survived your attempt at vehicular homicide, isn't going to let you off that easy.「Smooth Operator」 erupts in blue flames as engine cylinders all over its body begin pumping away, Tactical A unloading on you and Yuri with both flintlocks all while being apparently so drunk they seem to have trouble staying upright.

Well, you could still detonate that Tesla, and right now you feel stealthier.

You also see you have a new module available - Skirmisher. Was that what you were in before?
