"Gave it to Sakurako when we got attacked, she probably returned it with Fiona. That's the one Yuki and Noriko modeled for, and they left the bioweapon at her place overnight." Shef shrugged. Hopefully Sakurako had handled it. If not, oh well.

"She seemed nice enough really. Oh, and yeah, something about a bioweapon. Pretty sure it's taken care of though! Now we're... actually I don't know what were we going to do when that was taken care of?"

There was a very, very long pause from Faith.
"So FIRST... they left a fucking bioweapon at the place of some person they... that they modeled for, okay, I mean, I guess they were inhibited... but then... Shef, let me get this right... you left a Weapon of Mass Destruction with Sakurako???"

"Call some phone numbers I guess, eat ice cream in your case, go shopping?" There were like four or five more phone numbers, and some were from Sendo.

"Yes, I did. I don't know if it was a WMD, it could be like. . . a little bioweapon. Kinda got jumped by a bunch of military school students and then poisoned, you know. There a problem?"

oh hey, some kind of weird ritual thing.

that

that sounds a bit odd and concerning.

Of course, still being quite high, she decides to speak up.

"Hey guys what's going on? this stuff looks reeeeeeal freaky, ya know?"

Shef
Okay yeah a couple more trackers and bugs, mostly again from Canan but there's some kinda weird small bluish mote of lightless energy in your pockets that is probably from Ignis.

Faith, Shef, and Yuki
Anyways, you guys pass by an adventuring supply store. Shef, Yuki, you two would spot Fiona buying some plastic explosives inside.

Sakurako
"<Wait, don't you remember?>"
That's, a bit higher pitched that what you expected.
"<Well... she was pre-tty out of it.>"
"<Give us a sec, we're almost done!>"
Are these, high school students? Now that you're focusing you think you spy one of them wearing pink bunny pajamas under those robes. Th chanting resumes and the blood begins to boil, a screaming sigil enclosing the five figures. Crush and grind. Burn and boil. Six vessels arrayed between five figures. The grails begin to fill.

He'd left one of the bugs on on purpose, and ditched the majority. The energy, well, he didn't mess with it.

"Ah. This place will do nicely." Shef would stop to enter, hopefully searching for a magical pressure containment vessel, preferably about the size of a four ounce bottle or similar, along with some magically enhanced high explosives. If he ran into Fiona while browsing the aisles, he'd ask after the bioweapon.

Sakurako
"<See! I told you the black robes look creepy!>"
"<-Goth-. You said it looked goth.>"
"<Eh, same thing.>"
"<Not really, goth can look cute.>"
"<And creepy can't?>"
"<Depends on the kind of creepy. Like spooky creepy or 'windowless van in front of a preschool' creepy.>"
"<Ah! The ritual! Back to chanting!>"

The blood burns. The skeleton burns. The chalice burns. It burns and burns and burns, consumed by the same sickly green flames as the candles until they become indistinguishable, until they become the candle flame and their presence upon the alter becomes no more.

All that remains the abhorrent consequence, a thin ichor, sickly in its verdancy, its surface branded by a shallow crescent of small pellucid pustules. The stench hits you, good god that stench, it is the redolent mephitis, the olfactory intrusion, of that unspeakable virescent viridescence that flourishes in the forsaken depths of the wild and the lands that man had relinquished to its dominion, carried aloft upon the zephyr of the godless heavens. They present it to you, a blasphemous concoction sealed within a cycloidal receptacle by both the Stygian walls of its obsidian prison and by the inexorable beckoning of a land forgotten to the earth itself.

It's sort of like matcha green tea in that is literally matcha green tea.

Eh, it's decent. Just decent. You've had better, you've had worse. But hey, on the bright side there's a lesson to be learned from all this - you should totally trust creepy people in black robes chanting around bleeding skeletons! They're probably nice people who will give you tea and other free stuff!

Shef
Vessels you find, got a few options really, the sample vessels are built with safety in mind and assume whatever you plan on storing in them will maintain itself if injected with spirit energy, allowing otherwise hazardous magic to stored semi-safely in that failure would result in dissipation rather than some violent release. Forensic vessels err even further on the side of caution, storing only a faint memory of the magic rather than the magic itself. Blast vessels are just, on the complete other side of the spectrum, you need to keep them pumped with magic to keep the magic functioning but it keeps the magic at near full-power and will just release it no fucks given soon as the power's cut. There's a few more in between, depending on whether you're interested. High explosives, you'll have to decide on a blast type (exothermic, implosive, gravitational, psychic, etc.) consistency (solid, powder, viscous fluid, thin fluid, non-newtonian fluid, superfluid, ethereal, goo-like, dough-like, dough-substitute, etc.) trigger mechanism (magical, electronic, verbal, geis, etc.) and the like.

Minato feels an odd sense of kinship with this summoner, almost as if he....

No, he was pretty sure he was the only direct Kumon heir, as much as he wished he had siblings growing up. She COULD be a distant Kumon relative- one of the branch families, perhaps -but none of the branch families he knew of specialised in summoning techniques. So perhaps....some other connection?

Whatever. It was a fight, and he was going to get stuck in.

"Wait you did all that to make... some passable tea?"

That... sounded about right for this place, in her opinion.

Shef settled on something between a sample and a blast vessel--there were too many options, really he just wanted something that could contain a fairly significant amount of force, with a backup so that if he left it alone for ten to fifteen minutes, it would still work. He didn't need it to be long term in any case, if the enchantment gave out in a day or two, it was of no concern.

As to the explosives, he'd initially been intending to go with a standard putty, but if he found some in the form of a tape, he'd get that. Exothermic--he'd come to get high explosives after all, not some psychic or gravity bomb--, and two trigger mechanisms, electronic, or when ripped after the tape had been applied.

Minato
Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

[Now Playing: I'll Face Myself]

"<With pleasure~>"
You swear she's smiling under that cowl.

You couch low and lunge burning spear dragging you forwards as the silvery orb buzzes past your head, the blazing regalia blindsiding and skewering an unfortunate adventurer before whipping around and cutting into their opponent. Blood scatters through the air and sonorous pulse announces the orb's detonation, dust scatters but there's not blast, no it's simply grown, expanded in an instant. Behind you spin nested spheres of burning metal lattices, each new layer spinning opposite to that which came before, each growing more intricate than the last, the embers of genesis rekindled in the form of some new age blender. It continues to grow.

Okay so it's an area denial weapon then, and Abraxas has prepped another one, though it holds its fire for now, waiting for your move, waiting to see if you make a charge for it to punish. Its master meanwhile just stands there smiling, her midnight cape billowing in the wind.

Noticing what the two of you just did, nearby combatants are starting to clear the fuck out, not too keen on getting caught in the crossfire.

Spoiler: World Lines (click to show/hide)

"<Yes! Wait, passable?>"
"<Hold that thought, she seems dazed still. Um, do you know where you are?>"
"<Do you know who you are?>"

Shef
Blast vessel and backup battery obtained. You also grab some exploding tape and putty.

Having nothing else to do, Shef will investigate the orb of lightless energy in his pocket. Is it tangible? Does it react to a requiem command to do a flip?
