Faith and Yuki
She nods and jots down your number. You take your icecream and go. Mmm, tasty.

Meanwhile, in the bushes
Four figures watch from the bushes as the sisters depart, green hooded cloaks blending in with the shrubbage. Well, not that it's much help when their faces are clearly poking out. In front is a girl dressed in your typical adventurer's outfit, her hair done up in a sporty ponytail, sheathed on her back are an enormous sword and what appears to be an oversized rolled up newspaper. At her side is a breathtakingly beautiful elf dressed in a rather stereotypical green tabard with a quiver and short bow at their back. Behind them is a teen who could probably give Shef a run for his money in terms of sketchiness, clad in a mantle that seems nigh-impossible to distinguish from the shadows it casts or the smoke emanating from it. And off in the corner is a well-dressed young man with a rather archaic fashion sense, a young man who appears to be more preoccupied by the paper on which he writes than his targets dissolving into the crowd. At this moment they were in the middle of a discussion, if such called that.

"<-those black vectors are fast and->"
"<Useless. My arrows will blot out the sun.>"
"<Well guess we've got a volunteer. Think you can handle her healing too?>"
"<Of course! Anything for you.>"
"<What.>"
"<What?>"
"<Okay... moving on... I'm seeing reports that the spearwoman flew off with Princess Patricija.>"
"<Yes, that is a shame... I had her all figured out too.>"
"<For the last time Jerry, we're not stealing anyone's panties!>"
"<Well, not anymore.>"
"<No! It was never on the table!>"
"<How about under the table?>"
"<No.>"
"<Inside a dead drop disguised as a utility box?>"
"<No! End of discussion! Do we know anything about her replacement?>"
"<Nothing beyond that account. They've just posted a rundown of the fight with Maria's squad.>"
She glances at her phone.
"<In such detail too... It's pretty creepy honestly.>"
"<Maybe it's part of the exercise? Unverified intel.>"
"<Point. Could be. What are the odds?>"
"<Coin toss.>"
"<Not really good are they?>"
"<Better than a casino.>"
"<Okay so it says he can portal away people and projectiles, and mind control people.>"
"<And he's got a gun.>"
"<That too.>"
"<Hoho! A battle of attrition? Bring it on!>"
"<That's insane, he's a Godslayer, it's practically suicide.>"
"<I shall be the judge of that.>"
"<Okay, any real suggestions?>"
Apparently not. Well, if it came down to that, there was someone she could rely on at least. Well, maybe rely on was a bit too strong a phrase, but any port in a storm or so they say.
"<Bel.>"
No response.
"<Earth to Bel.>"
Still no response.
"<Allow me.>"
Maggie stands up, hoisting the youth upside down and swinging him side to side like a pendulum. Eventually he looks up.
"<Sera calls.>"
"<Ah, my dear muse. What is it that you desire? A sonnet to your beauty? An aria to your->"
"<Is the manuscript ready?>"
"<Ah yes, I have just finished it!>"
Taking the block of paper, she flips straight to the last five pages, skimming.
"<Bel, we all die in this.>"
"<Of course - it's a tragedy.>"
"<...Could we not die?>"
"<And compromise my artistic vision?>"
It was at this point that Sera's face met her palm. This, was going to take a while.

Faith, Shef, and Yuki
Faith and Yuki enter the restaurant. Yay.

As Faith and Yuki approached, Shef activated his requiem, commanding them to dispel any illusions or disguises. Either they were Ignis, in which case this wouldn't be an issue, or they were his teammates. Since they hadn't purchased anything, they wouldn't be patrons, and anyway, the compulsion wouldn't do much anyway.

"<Thanks for coming Yuki. And Faith? What are-->" He cut himself of, and picked a different way of phrasing it. "<You get roped into all this as well?>"

Shef
Well, whatever the hell happened inside the fortress sure did a number on Yuki's dress, what with the skirt cut shorter and basically all the plating missing now. Either she brought a real cheap dress without an protection enchantments, or whatever hit her overpowered it, either way the girl responsible you already took out of the running. She's a little wide eyed and her hair seems stiff, like something gel'd it up, but honestly those two made you lean towards her being the real one - it seemed doubtful Ignis would make a "flaw" like that. The lack of response to your compulsion seems to confirm this.

Faith and Yuki
So Shef just flashes your glasses at you and something seems to tear out through the scintillating lenses, a peculiar feeling, like a sort of nonspecific push or impetus, though it quickly washes over both of you without doing anything weird.

Yuki doesn't seem to mind any of that.

"Oh, that girl who dragged me off wanted to get ice cream, and Faith was at the ice cream place! I didn't actually get any ice cream before you called though and I said I was going to go back after. Soooo poison? I think I can heal that. I probably can heal that."

Healing magic, try and do the thing and heal shef

Shef
Well your discomfort begins to fade as Yuki starts healing you, spirit energy pours forth from her shard, stiffening her hair and illuminating her palms as she focuses healing magic into you. It's, taking a while.

Yuki
Hmm okay so he's not too hurt right now so repairing the damage isn't too tricky, thing is, your healing isn't removing the poison, at least, not quickly.

Faith
Okay so you can see the issue too, well, maybe not see, but thanks to your training you can sense it anyways. Manipulating your own magic, it's made you a little more aware of other people's magic too. The poison affecting Shef? It's a spell, a pretty nasty one too - it's attacking his central nervous system, but it's focusing on his upper spine, trying to effectively decapitate him, trying to sever the connection between brain and body. That is, until Yuki started healing. It seems to actually recoil from the spell, dispersing in its wake before refocusing and dispersing again. It's not targeted you realize, rather it's algorithmic, it's using something to guide its targeting, though you doubt it's designed to combat healing magic - it's dispersing and shit yeah, but it's still getting eroded away and the damage is still being undone. Any delay you see is more from Yuki's magic being geared more for repairing than spellbreaking. You meanwhile, you might be able to speed things up a little, tear the damn thing out yourself.

"<What, ice cream? You left me in the middle of a fight! What was that about? But yes, healing would be nice."> Shef stated, prior to the beginning of the healing.

"Yeah, I ran into her, saw she was wearing weird stuff, and then the more I learned about what was going on the more clearly suspicious things got. Getting attacked..." Faith sighed and lowered her voice. "She doesn't remember her night and she woke up in bed with a stranger (er, and Noriko) so... yeah... I'm trying to find out what the hell happened to her. I want to make sure it was... nothing funny."

As Yuki began healing Shef, Faith squinted at him, despite the fact that she wasn't actually SEEING what was going on with him, and leaned forwards.
"<Holy shit.> Shef, what the hell did this? This is really fucked up. The spell affecting you isn't poison, it's something trying to sever your spinal cord. Ugh... that's screwed up. Yuki's not gonna be able to heal you very quickly, since she's only really glitching it out and slowly making it shrink, but hold still for a moment, I should be able to take it out now, I figured some stuff out..."

Faith popped a Shield of Courage around her and then melted it away from around her into a spot on her hand, which she then put against Shef's neck unless he dodged away for some reason, funneling the energy directly into him and into the spell in his neck -- mixing the two together to increase her control, she then gradually pulled the spell out of his body, careful to try and prevent any trap algorithms in the spell from going off.

"<Alright, understandable.>" Shef followed up Yuki's statement. He'd not pry directly, she was clearly playing this off for some reason. The methods would necessarily be subtler.

"That's what the poison does? Didn't seem to be doing that great of a job at it. Anyway yes, Faith. Stuff's been pretty clearly suspicious. Worried someone may have spiked her and Noriko's drink, or purposely misinterpretted their order. They've got a lot of. . ah, beyond-alcoholic levels of intoxicant? That might be considered nonalcoholic. But the resort staff are used to dealing with people from earth, so. . . they should know better. Something else at play."

"But yes. Worrying. Been trying to uncover the events of last night myself, and if you'd care, I can try to fill you in. What we have so far, and maybe more as it comes up."

Faith
Okay so, issue with shoving your shield into him - your shield is really external use only. It's a bubble of energy that violently discharges in response to attacks. Could it be used for overlaid shielding? Probably, but you haven't really learned reinforcement nor had much reason to tinker with it that much. Fortunately Yuki's healing doesn't just heal, it overlays shielding ontop of its targets. So if you mix your shield with her first and... aha! Works like a charm, the aegis/shield mixture spreads out, enclosing the poison spell before closing in and pulling out, producing a yellow bubble containing what appears to be a phantasmal rock?

Once the spell is worked out, Yuki stops the healing magic. "Well, it's a good thing I randomly ran into you Faith! I think that'd have taken me a while from what you said about it." She looked at Shef when he described his theory. Then made an annoyed noise. "Well someone's getting a complaint... you're supposed to be transparent about ingredients! I work at a cafe, I should know. I should have suspected malicious (or potentially stupid) waiters..."

"Yes, but I have yet to figure out precisely who's involved. Whether it's incompetent or malicious staff, or something more. I'm going to be getting in contact with the owner--guy who poisoned me knows her apparently--after I look into this a bit, later. When he's not trying to poison me. I'm going to ruin his day first."

Faith stared at the rock inside of the bubble for a moment and frowned. This thing... was frankly probably stupidly dangerous, wasn't it? And it was kind of just floating there.
"I have no idea what to do with this thing now."

Her frown turned into an angry grimace at Shef and Yuki's conversation.
"She got drugged? That's fucked. If we end up running into whoever did that, well..."
She was probably gonna kick their ass.

She then let out another sigh.
"Alright, Shef, tell me what you know."
