"And even then, unless something knows how recently you Awakened, they probably won't try to kill you just for your soul. Humans don't provide as much power, but they make for far easier prey."

Yuki seems to consider this for a moment. "No, thanks. I'd guess the pay is really good because you're rich (also I called it on your family being associated with fighting evil) but Mom needs me too much."

"Well, yeah. My family's been fighting demons since.....around the 1100s. Last big thing they did was way before my time, though; they helped the British and French equivalents of our organisation kill Hitler back in '62. They told me stories about their adventures, too.

I always thought they were fairy tales riiiiiight until a giant spider demon broke into my house and tried to kill me. And that's how I became a superhero."
