. . . Noriko supposed she shouldn't have expected much else from an Aramitama taking the guise of Hitler. Well, the god(?) summoning, or Persona or whatever the bastard was calling it wasn't, but it's something to be dealt with. She darted in, hoping that she could arrive fast enough to disrupt his attack on Yuki; he doubted she'd dodge in her current state, and it would be better for her to not get hit at all rather than trying to heal it off. Landing next to Hitler, she directed her blow upwards, aiming to knock him into the air.

Varunapasha on Hitler. Try to delay the strikes to make the hitstun last as long as possible, and include the followup.

Yuki brought her chainsaw around to meet the charging Hitler, still screaming. After the attack resolved, however it did, she'd be healing herself.

Depending on whether there's enough time, either telestab Hitler from behind or allow him to impale himself on a running chainsaw. HEALING FIELD afterwards.

Faith had wiped the threat she still had to deal with the fuck out, but now she was in just as horrible a condition as she'd been after being on the receiving end of those things. She still couldn't talk, so instead she settled for shaking and sobbing -- partially from the amplification of her negative emotions by her magic (currently letting off purple sparks from her body), and partly from still being, well, really fucked up. She wasn't up to go on the assault this turn, not by a long shot, considering that she still couldn't breathe, her vision was dimming, and she felt like she was a hair from just losing consciousness altogether. So, for now, the choking and crying girl just took a knee on the plain and went for her belt, deciding to FINALLY take those potions now that she wasn't about to get prevented from doing so for the third time.
Faith kneels down and takes a health potion and a magic potion. Burn a 2.

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

[Now Playing: The Battle for Everyone's Souls]

Faith, figuring that her sense of pain must be pretty fucking numbed by what she's just been through stabs herself with her vials. First one was healing. Don't feel much but a green aura rises up around her so it must've worked, right? Energy potion, that she feels, it's a jolt up her spine instantly clearing the haze in her mind. She notices she's missing a few cuts and scrapes, if that's gone then the internal damage should be too.

Minato thrusts forth with Gae Bulg. Cronus says fuck that and swings the weight and chain of his weapon over, ensnaring Minato's spear and rushing forwards, it's kinda hard to tell whether he's aiming to use sickle or her maw because both are just going at it. Probably doesn't matter since the spear proceeds to twist and embed itself into the apparition's shoulder, and after finding its body to be semi-insubstantial, proceeds to just flail around inside the guy's chest cavity, sending static-like distortions rippling through their form. Healing field still goes out but it's twisted as well, weakened. Unfortunately he still kinda just chomps on Minato's head. Damage aside, it's kinda hard seeing when your head's stuck in a dark tooth-lined portal.

So when the healing wave gets to Hitler, he's still leaping upwards, Yuki teleports behind him, but well, she just did that trick didn't she? Hitler spins around as she reappears, bringing his fist fowards as his other arm begins to reconstruct. It's at this point that Shef's bullet tears through his torso. Momentum however, keeps his fist on track. It yeah, ain't pleasant. It disintegrates all of Yuki's clothing, leaving her butt fucking naked and missing her heal booster, discharges some kind of dark lingering energy into her, and sets her on fire. Oh also it hurts like a bitch. Noriko swoops over and Hitler tries to dive for it but Shef's bullet portals again, severing tendons in his legs and leaving him to fall into her upper cut. What follows next is, kinda like the knitting of a scarf, except the needles consist of a betwitched bullet with an absurd amount of kinetic energy, and a really salty girl trying to avert her eyes from her naked coworker. And instead of a scarf, it's Hitler's violent maiming.

Oh and Yoake's there. Like while all this shit is happening, she just, casually floats up, produces a bottle of gasoline and pours it on Hitler's burning form as Noriko severs all his limbs and Shef punctures basically everything of importance in his torso.

With Yuki's own healing field expanding, she finds herself, better though still crackling with lingering energy that seems to leave her rather short on breath. Also she's on fire, but that's never really stopped a slasher villain. Minato is fine again, having spend the additional time stabbing Cronus' everything until he was able to pull his head free. Faith meanwhile finds herself, basically fine again but kinda late to the whole "remurder Hitler party".

Satoshi sorta just, stands there awkwardly, conjuring another syringe as Hitler finally expires.

Chapter 5 - Man of Steel

"Another energy spike, he's not done yet."
"He's about to attack! Be ready!"

Amidst the numerous wounds inflicted by Shef and Noriko, one final wound opens, in the shape of a keyhole. Crimson light fills the air as Cronus and Thor fall upon their own weapons forms collapsing, absorbing into them. The weapons glow gold and crash into the keyhole. Power, intense to the point of being palpable explodes outwards across the battlefield as a figure emerges the epicenter, a handsome man, shirtless and clad in a red coat, some high-tech Ironman-looking gizmo in his chest projecting a Superman logo, and his left arm replaced with a metal prosphetic.

"I ought to congratulate you for making it this far. Now if you could, DIE!"

[Now Playing: A Mighty Power]

Energy arcs outwards as he crosses the hammer and sickle before slamming them into the ground, great spikes erupts outwards all around him, the first few aimed at the nearby Yuki, Yoake, and Noriko, the next few just expanding outwards to attack indiscrimately, to conceal his position, and to provide cover. He is about to move now, with superhuman speed, first aiming to strike Noriko with a sweep of his laser eyebeams, then to fire a missile from his shoulder at Yoake, before peppering Shef, Faith, Satoshi, and Minato with bullets from a shadowy gun-wieldling limbs that he sprouts from behind him and crashing back into Yuki, sickle-first.

Satoshi runs forwards, trying to first smash the incoming spikes and then to push Yuki out of the way.

The others killed Hitler, but not without some damage being done — Faith’s sister had not only been set on goddamn fire, but she had also been reduced to complete nudity. This would have had more of an effect on Faith if she wasn’t in the state she was in: bawling, furious, and unable to control the raging torrent of emotions that was ripping through her after the day she’d had. So she just tacked down what the Aramitama had done to Yuki as another reason to fuck him up.

Faith felt like she’d seen a picture of who they were fighting before, besides all the superhero shit, but she couldn’t remember, and that was a small piece of her thoughts right now. MOSTLY her thoughts were A: I can talk now and B: <”FUCK YOU! YOU SCUMBAG, YOU BASTARD, YOU— YOU— FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU! GO TO HELL, I WON’T LET YOU KEEP RUINING EVERYTHING FOR EVERYONE FUCK, FUCK THIS DAY AND FUCK YOU!”> And then, as he made his charge towards Yuki, she summoned a crackling, dark spear literally made of her misery and then threw it at Stalin, as hard as he could. She was gonna KILL this fucking Aramitama!

Faith tosses a Piercing Insecurities at the Man of Stal, Alteration to a 5!

Oh hey, Faith was freaking out. Hitler was dead. What was new in the world? Shef supposed the fact that Hitler was actually Stalin--though both were just the Aramitama of course--could be considered new. At least, Shef assumed it was some sort of Stalin simulacrum. The hammer and sickle, and the red coat seemed reasonably indicative. And he was talking. Mostly irrelevant. It was simply shouting in anger, and really, there was no point in wasting breathe in a reply, which would amount to parroting similar statements back at the man with more or less civility, presumably minus the congratulations. Anyway, Faith was already doing that well enough.

Spikes from the ground, footing would be an issue, however, they weren't directed at him exactly, so he might be able to ignore those for the most part. Bullets were a small threat, but they'd be easy to deal with. A simple portal. Though Stalin was dangerously close to. . . who? Yuki? He hadn't noticed, as he had been entirely focused on riddling Hitler. Now it took him just an instant longer to recognize her. The dissonance of him associating only Faith with clothing. . . difficulties, the fact that she was on fire, and the general double take that might come with noticing an entirely nude, rather attractive person. As soon as he'd realized who it was though, he wrenched his gaze away, frustrated with himself. He'd let himself get distracted slightly in battle, but more importantly, it simply felt wrong to, however briefly, almost ogle the naked Yuki.

His first thought was to throw his coat at her, but that wouldn't be feasible. She was still on fire for one, and there was the chainsaw. And the wrath, which meant she probably wouldn't want to spend the time to put on a coat. There was no solution there.

Honestly, this seemed to be happening a little too often for Shef's comfort. Happening to allies, could be used by enemies. Not that big an effect maybe, but it could distract ever so slightly. Could he find a way around it? Yes, actually. . . and it might have other uses. He wouldn't be able to do it immediately, not with what he knew, at least with the idea that was forming in his head. He'd need someone's assistance, and he suppressed a very small grimace. These thoughts were almost simultaneous with his action, as he'd started to move as soon as he'd turned his gaze away from Yuki.

Use Hey look over there[3] in front of Stalin while he's moving to slam him into the ground. If the dash at Noriko seems too fast, wait till after to do so. if all his movement seems too fast, attempt to just relocate him farther from, and facing the opposite direction from Yuki. Use one cached portal to send bullets back at the Man of Steel. Alter to a 6.

Minato did, a few times, fantasise about his friends. Mostly Noriko; Yuki was, after all, very cute, but something about her made it feel wrong for him to think of her like that. Not for lack of trying. That and, given his confrontation with Noriko, he had the feeling of dread that something was very, very wrong with her. He made a mental note to check on her later.

But he had to admit, Yuki had a rather nice body. Hoo boy. She wasn't as curvy as Faith or Yoake (not that he thought of Yoake that way; she was hot but Minato had standards and there was that saying, don't stick your dick in crazy), and she didn't have that slender, petite charm that Noriko had, but it was definitely something to be admired. If he weren't in the middle of a fight for his life, he might even take more than a few seconds to stare at it. Maybe even save the image for his mental bank for.....later.

But no, the fight took priority right now. That and Faith's cursing in English had started, and he was pretty damn sure that whoever she was yelling at was probably a young Stalin. History had always been something of Minato's forte, given what his Requiem did.

Time to enact a quick plan. Shef was summoning portals, Faith was out of the path (safe for the moment) but Noriko wasn't. Noriko was a priority right now; this was Yoake's home turf so this was no issue for her, and Yuki, despite being naked, wasn't too badly inconvenienced by whatever was going on with her.
Activate Chou Henshin, explode three weapons to push Minato in front of Noriko, use another three to smash spikes out of his way, and throw the tendrils of his stockpile into the Man of Steel's path to smash him back into Shef's line of fire and guarantee his attack. If he speeds up, use the tendrils to slingshot Minato into tackling him out of the way.

Apparently they were doing some kind of bizarro World War II reenactment now, what with Hitler being replaced with Stalin. She was desperately trying to keep her attention on that and not Yuki's. . . Yukis. "Damn it, why can't we go a single fucking fight without someone getting stripped!" She leapt upward to evade the spikes, raising her spear (wait, she hadn't invoked Vasavi Shakti, why was it expanding?) and aiming to essentially bat the laser away, or just catch it on the head of the weapon, which happened to be a bit more durable than Noriko herself. "Why are all of you these stupid!" She threw a spear at Stalin, violently. "Perverted!" Another spear, tossed to the side and rapidly coming around in an arc. "Bastards!" Why did things like this have to keep happening!? Why were her coworkers constantly having their clothes removed? It's like there was some higher power taunting her. She dove in at Stalin, aiming to pincer him between her current spear and the one currently on a collision course with him.

Yoake didn't even notice Yuki, she simply breathed in deeply, as time slowed... and she silently said to herself: "Kagirinai Shunkan, activate."

[Resolve consumed, Eternal Moment activated]

Now that she had a bit more time to think, she applies the Arcane Nitrous once more, leaping up and over the missile and spikes coming out of the ground, before slamming down on Stalin, guns blazing, butt first.

If Yuki noticed her now nudity, she didn't show it. Her thoughts were mostly on how to most effectively nuke this person into the dirt. Getting smacked around probably wouldn't do it, so she was gonna get out of the way first. As she tried to get out of the way of the attack (with intent to fuck up super-stalin-whatever after he missed) she also made quite sure her attack would ruin the guy, and that her sister's would too.

Try to avoid the attack. Guidance of the moon on self and Faith. If Stalin gets into a bad position from hopefully missing or from what the others do, punish violently.

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

[Now Playing: A Mighty Power]

So Minato and Satoshi just blaze through the spikes, explosions and kinetic impacts buckling and blasting apart the metal as gunfire traces all around them, flashes of silver plinking off of Minato and blasting into Satoshi, not that it stops either. Minato leaps into the air, tendrils interlocking into a shield to block the crimson beam. Even before the beam had fully dissipating, those same tendrils were lashing out, trying to force the Man of Steel through Shef's portal. He, couldn't block the whole beam. Some of it slipped through the cracks, burnt away at his frontal armor. Mech's still functional, though its front will be weak till it deals with the heat.

Speaking of Shef, he seems to have decided that he really can't be bothered dodging, like at all. So when the .454 Casull rounds, explosive and cored with steel launched at him out of 10 inch barrels wielded by limbs of blood and shadow, he simply stood there and relaxed. Focus broken a spell snaps, the only thing holding close a portal, and like a trap being sprung it tears open in front of him, sending the bullets right back to sender. Unfortunately, it does have the side effect of rendering his own portal a bit off the mark, not helped by the rather poor visibility amidst the clusterfuck of spikes.

Yoake meanwhile halts time leaping into the air, blazing upwards. It's straining, this technique of hers, she has yet to master it. A split-second is all it buys. Enough to evade the spikes, enough to dodge the missile, but not enough to close in, not before time resumes. The brutal hammer swings fowards, parrying her metallic backside, the metallic arm wielding it shuddering and glowing from the impact while her own mech's armor buckles and crumples. Damage reading race out across her interface, it's nothing critical but her guns have been banged up. This thing's not quite built for full-on supernatural combat. Good thing she doesn't need it to win.

This clash meanwhile proves to be the perfect opportunity for some good old fashioned impaling. The first spear, or perhaps more accurate telegraph pole-turned-shiv crashes into the Man of Steel's front, the trip drawing blood, but the bulk of the mass being kept at bay by those shadowing limbs. The next two find themselves blocked similarly. Enough to pressure him, enough to try and halt his momentum, but not enough to do enough damage. It might be time to break out the enchants.

Still having a pinned foe is just what Faith wants, better yet for the explosions of light of the combined assault to mark her target amidst the dust and debris. Dodging explosions of silver Faith brings an orb of purple energy into her hand. A pillar of light rising from it, twin helices trace and converge inwards forming a needle-like spear shifting from an influx of divine magic. To be honest, she had no idea how to throw a fucking spear. To be fair, it hardly mattered, the magical practically propelling itself, all those feelings bottled up inside her surging forth as a hateful murderboner that crashes into Stalin, blowing away his right shoulder and everything attached to it as radiant lines trace outwards from the wound, Noriko's spear on that side managing to drive deep just that little deeper in the instant its prey falters.

Darkness and blood explode out of the wound, a formless mass dotted with paranoid eyes and desperate human mouths, it shifts and stabilizes, becoming that little more distinct, that little less formless, the vague silhoulette of a great bear, grabbing hold of the sickle, and scything forwards into the teleporting, flaming, and now-shieldless Yuki.

Or rather, into the girl in front of her. Almost through her really, the sickle managing to cleave down Satoshi's left shoulder and into her heart. Lips stained with her own blood, breathing through ruined lungs, Satoshi stares at her hands, now drenched in her own blood. As if in shock, as if in disbelief. Her expression darkens becoming unreadable. What was going through her mind now? Pain? Anger? Was there anything in it at all? Or was it just raw animal instinct? It's impossible to tell. But then she leans forwards, ever so slightly uttering words in almost a whisper.

"It takes more than that... "

"What?"

"It takes more than that to kill a bullmoose!"

A needle thin lance of force slams down through the bear as a magic circle traces below the Satoshi drawn in her own blood, a circle depicting not runic scripts nor esoteric geometry, but rather a great bird of prey, wings outstretched, thirteen arrows grasped in its talons. In an instant the regalia expands into a great pillar, blasting apart the beast, and in an instant, it collapses back into the form of a staff. A staff of shimmering silver atop which a star spangled banner billows defiantly.

Code: (Gaia Driver) [Select]
Warning! Godforged Regalia activation detected!
"Tch, a cheap trick."

The Man of Steel begins to reform the bear using it to reach for Yuki's fallen provisions as he sweeps his eye beams across everyone near him (which is basically everyone other than Shef and Faith). The missile launcher rises again from his remaining shoulder aiming to discharge its payload into Yoake at close range while its wielder with a burst of speed, and apparently powers of flight launches backwards, aiming to disengage as more shadowy limbs emerge filling the air around him with exploding bullets.

So, Satoshi had done done something, and summoned forth that symbol, the United States Presidential Seal? And what she'd said. . .that was Theodore Roosevelt, right? A reincarnation of him? Shef had not expected that. Either way, it had slowed Stalin down briefly.

Everyone seemed mostly fine, save Yuki still being on fire (he noted from the glow she cast more so than actually looking at her). She did not seem to be doing anything with regards to that, not even noticing it, still distracted? She'd been screaming earlier, and she'd occasionally seemed a bit. . .out of it all in the past.

Probably best to get rid of that fire and stuff now. And it'd be better for group tactics if she was more in control of herself. So, a bit uncertainly, since he'd not actually attempted this before, he raised his gun to fire at Yuki's side. He poured none of the force that he'd normally add to the bullet, but an ample helping of that energy that surged through him when he used his requiem. He was still concerned, but even if he'd underestimated how much this would hurt, she'd still survive it. So he pressed the trigger.

As soon as it had hit, he said--no, he commanded, "Yuki. Heal yourself, get rid of that curse and flames, now." There was a mental component to it too, some small part of it based on intention. So he intended to convey the idea of patience, she could fix herself now for greater gains in the long run. Less necessary in this case, since she could hear, but still there to convey the nuances without necessitating more words.

And if it didn't work, well she could survive, just not quite as usefully. So he turned his gun on Stalin again.

Use Manipulator [5] on Yuki, and force her to get rid of the curse. Then shoot Stalin, focusing on the right shoulder, around the connection of the metallic arm. Alter to 4.

Come on, seriously? At least Satoshi seemed to be doing something good...? Whatever. Yoake just wanted to beat this solidified remnant of the past into the dust where he came from.

Yoake presses a button on the side of her mech suit, ejecting her from its grasp, before she hurls it towards the Man of Steel by slamming it with her butt. Hopefully it'd cover some of that fire, too. She then focuses on dodging out of the way of attacks.
