Shef tightened his grip at Yoake's words, and waited till the roll was over. Then he pulled out his gun and fired a few shots at the second cloud of missiles.

Hang on, take some non-hyper shots at the missile, then use Room to Breathe once again when they're in the air near the missiles.

Trying to set up a pike line. Smart. . . but not that smart. "Minato, you might want to pull up a shield! Vasavi Shakti!" She maneuvered Minato in front of her like a battering ram as they sped through the air. She left him to his own devices; she was going to need focus for the next bit. She sent her other three spears forward; the first one up and ahead of her, aiming to intercept the incoming shells high above, set them off early or just knock them off course. The other two darted about to her sides, battering away any missiles she could manage.

All of a sudden, Faith was rotated in front of Noriko as Minato was, causing her to yelp a little as she was placed directly into the front “line” of combat with the thing’s Mononoke. Gigantic death lasers or not, Faith really didn’t much like her chances rushing against things with spears at high speed, so she yelled out a ”Mmminato please hold me behind you!”

But before Minato did rotate her, if he did, Faith was at least going to mess with the pike line a bit. Noriko was taking care of the missiles, but she did notice that these Mononoke were back to the kind of ablative armor they’d had before the train, and she didn’t like her chances of killing several of them at once, so what Faith was going to do was... The blonde girl fired off a beam of light from her hand, not as blinding as her Lucky Sunbeam, but rather the brightness of her more usual move, a Freedom Beam Of energy that landed out towards the weapons of the nearby conveniently-relatively-in-a-line Storm Minds, in an attempt to render them rather less dangerous.

Faith fires a moderately wide-aperture Freedom Beam at the sections of the pike line near enough to likely meet them head-on, not at the Storm Minds themselves, but at their conveniently, long and thin weapons, aiming to lop off large sections from the tip ends with the beam (but obviously not changing from the best shot at the lances if it would also hit the Storm Minds, she’s aiming to destroy their weapons, not spare them.

"Right, I hear you! Faith, hold on tight, this'll get bumpy!"
Minato waits for Faith to get off her attack, then holds her close to him. Use ten weapons from the stockpile and Minato's body to shield Faith from retaliation, detonating the weapons if anything gets near Faith. Use the others and Rho Aias as a battering ram to protect Minato and break through their line, detonating the weapons if necessary to break through or just using sheer momentum to get through if not.

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

[Now Playing: アモリタチテカミトミユ]

Freedom Beam sweeps out, the Storm Minds aren't quite impressed. Two squads of four were charging, four units are hit. Two confirmed kills. Two damaged or wounded. You should know by now that won't stop them though, a lost limb? A lost lance? For those already doomed, those able to shatter shields and pierce metal with even improvised weapons, that matters little. They don't go for Minato. They don't go for Yuki. They hit hard, but not hard enough. Whatever they do, those two will survive. Faith on the other hand? Change of plans then, six tendrils lash out, wrapping around lances, guards, and arms, driving themselves right into each remaining construct. For a moment they falter, these ones, they lack the output of the others. Makes sense, they burn their shard-granted souls to fight, but the ones here are just empty shells, features of the Sanctuary pumped with energy and sent forwards. That being said, they don't stop either, thrusters flaring they continue their charge. No choice then, six tendrils detonate, six constructs fall. Onwards.

Yoake meanwhile, seeing the lances thrusting towards her just decides to fuck that noise and ascend, and ascend she does launching into the air faster than her foes can follow. They could intercept something heading their way, something now traveling a lot more vertically? No dice. Missiles chase a bit more, still she's faster, and Shef's got portals, soon enough the cloud deactivates, the remaining two squads with them. The maneuver cost her speed however, a fair bit of it, Noriko managing to pull a fair distance ahead having used her allies and spears as a battering ram of concentrated homosexuality, though one missile does manage to strike her, shattering her layered shields but dealing no damage.

Little problem there though - remember how the artillery missed initially? Remember how it had to readjust to the pace you guys set? Yoake changed her pace again. Noriko didn't. That new barrage? It's crashing down upon her and the people with her now. Plumes of debris rising from the ravaged earth, and more pressingly white-hot shrapnel peppering through the air from each and every direction. Dangerous, but avoidable. Normally at least. But it wasn't just impact and air-burst, there was white phosphorous too, great clouds of smoke and burning chemicals, masking the shards of metal. Oh and y'know, trying to stick and burn to everyone. Noriko's interceptions buys a bit of breathing room, but there are many shells and each interception has a bit of recovery time with how the spear was knocked and blasted around, end result is still quite a lot of pain racing towards her and her cargo. May wanna dodge.

As the world seems to drown in burning phosphorous y'all see something. Something rising up before you, something big, something fast, matching your speeds. A great moth born of shadows with the maw of a lamprey lined not with teeth but laser cannons and crowned with a dire magic circle for a halo and flying upon six great wings of ragged darkness. From its whirring maw laser flak begins to spew quickly sweeping towards Noriko amidst the artillery downpour.

Yoake, still flying through the air, yells towards Satoshi, "Hey, ya' think you can give this thing wings or somethin'? I gotta take this thing on!"

Order Satoshi to use Override on the mech and give it controlled flight capabilities.

She then closes her eyes, holding her breath, and tensing all the muscles in her body. As she does so, the mech follows her lead, moving into a meditative position, and any outside observer would say she had just disappeared from view after a battle cry of "Kagirinai Shunkan!" rang through the sky.

Activate Eternal Moment, pausing time, and fly towards the moth as fast as possible while making a slight effort to avoid the chemical cloud. Upon reaching the moth, she would grab tight hold of it, before doing a spinning throw in mid-air aiming for the artillery shells falling towards Noriko and the others. Of course, she would grab it with her breasts, and hit it with her butt to launch it through the sky.

In the moment it took to comprehend Yoake's statement, Shef blinked a couple times, before nervously tightening his grip on the mech. To get to the moth--they would need to get to it, based on all his knowledge of Yoake's fighting style--they'd be passing through the cloud of shells, which seemed to be incendiary. White phosphorus based on the smoke, or a magical equivalent. His portals wouldn't get them past that unscathed, and Noriko probably had other things to occupy herself with. So he simply braced himself, and fired a few shots at the moth

Brace, and be ready to redirect laser blasts directed at the mech from the moth back at it.

"I've got a plan, you guys aren't gonna like it though!" Too much incoming fire; she couldn't stay where she was, couldn't maintain the same pace, and slowing down was a bad idea. So, she was left with one option; speeding up. However, she only had one realistic option for doing so. She cocked one arm back as if she was throwing one of her spears by hand, and Minato moved upward in a complementary motion. She focused for a moment; she was going to have to do a lot at once here. She sent a gust of wind barreling in the direction of the giant moth-like monster, but one that expanded outward slightly along its path. Noriko wasn't trying to attack the moth, per se, just blow away the missiles and clouds of white phosphorus.

This done, she shouted the name of her technique: "Manavastra!" Her arm surged forward, and so did Minato, hurtling toward the moth at high speed, carried on a divine wind. Noriko wasn't far behind, darting forward with even greater speed than she'd had before.

Use the 4 for this turn, so that this executes on a 5.

Heal anyone who lost shielding and be prepared to chainsaw the heck out of the giant moth if it gets in range.

Wait, what wasn't Faith going to like about Noriko's pl-- "Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!" Faith hurtled through the air at high speed, having been thrown by Noriko along with Minato (and Yuki) to hurtle directly towards the laser-cannon-mouth-darkness-death-moth. Still, despite her instinctual and perhaps rather typical panic, part of Faith did realize that if she was going to act it pretty much had to be now. Accordingly, she went for one more beam, despite their typical lack of success for her; she saw an opportunity here. Those big, thin wings of shadow were just BEGGING to get sliced! And so Faith went for a precise thumb-thin beam of intense light, fired with one of her characteristic overloads of energy -- and she swept that beam downwards and diagonally across one of the moth's wings, aiming to slice it apart and maybe take chunks off of the other, nearby wings.
Faith fires yet another Freedom Beam, this one as thin-aperture as she can get it, and aims to straight-up slice a wing or two off of the moth! Alteration to a 6.

"No worries, Noriko, I got you all covered! Faith, HOLD ON!"
Chou Henshin to extend tendril duration and redirect all of the stockpile except the tendrils protecting Faith to the front, using the stockpile as an improvised battering ram/riot shield.

Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)

[Now Playing: JUDGEMENT]

Metallic wings with blades for feathers erupt from Yoake's mech, shifting and flexing. Tendrils rush forwards, tangling together in front of Minato like a battering ram. Noriko meanwhile parts the smoke-filled sky like Moses, except unlike Moses, she doesn't get lost in the desert for forty years and instead violently propelled her people towards the promised land. The promised land in this case being a big bad moth.

It's, hard to say what happens next.

But well, one moment things were the way things were, and the next, Yoake is right next to the moth hurling it backwards.

So with her foe basically immobilized, Faith just cleaves off all three wings off one side and then the whole Minato fucktrain crashes into its body. Now, the impact was hard and all, but it turns out Death's-Head wasn't exactly rigid. See, it's amorphous, insubstantial, less a singular entity and more a whole load of Black Halos fused together around a crystalline skeleton. So when Minato slams into it, the impact gets distributed shockingly well. Well enough that he only destroys the thorax and lodges in the gaping wound instead of shattering its skeleton and sailing out the other side. It's at this point that countless shadowy hands start grasping and trying to restrain whatever they can grip. It's also at this point that Yuki just fucking eviscerates the moth. Just raises her chainsaw and casually brings it down. Except what she brought down was closer to a thunderbolt, this steel discharge that explodes through the beast's body, rending apart a good chunk of its skeleton, and ripping its way out of its body, taking its head with it.

So uh, in between all of that, Death's-Head is pretty fucked up, its main cannons are gone, its body is failing, and all the hits its adversaries took were taken by their shields instead.

So y'all just sailing basically the twitching almost-corpse of a giant moth, one that is continuing to sprout human-like hands of grab-happy shadows at you when the lightning stops. And the sun rises once more.

Well, maybe rises is a bit too gentle a word. Let's try that again shall we? The Neon Sun tears itself out of the earth shattering the horizon behind it, and it just violently hurls itself at you apparently in a final bid to finish you off. This enormous sparking sphere of silvery metal shrouded in the dying strobes of its fading corona, is now hurtling towards you at high speed. The artillery falls silent. The moth begins to dissipate.

It's too big and too fast to really dodge, you're gonna have to blast your way through.

Yoake grits her teeth. "You two still holding tight?"

She activates the nitrous injector once more, heading straight towards the Neon Sun, aiming to burst through it and come out the other side. She leads this charge giant-mechanical-breasts-first, guns blazing out of them.

"Yes. Trying a portal." This thing was large, and probably wasn't the Aramitama itself. So it stood to reason that it might not be solid all the way through. If it wasn't, he'd stop his portal, and if there wasn't room to maneuver or something, he'd just portal them out. They'd lose some momentum, but otherwise it should be fine.

Use Hey Look Over There [3] if the interior seems hollow when Shef is feeling around for portal placement.
