Noriko nodded, looking at the bits that were supposed to be for practice. She reached out mentally, trying to grab ahold of one of them and shove it into her spear the same way she put energy in to enlarge it.

The droplet twists and untangles into naught as some ineffable thing is torn free. Strange energy fills your spear. The enchantment is now loaded.

"Think you've done it, now try using it. I don't really know what you need to think for this part. Try using it like your own magic? It has one of each enchantment try using them separately. Don't worry! It won't explode, just light up."

Noriko nodded her head once more. Use it like her own magic, right? She generally tended to sort of grab the air around her and press it together and such. . . maybe she should just try to sort of squeeze it out of the spear? A somewhat untoward thought occurred to her, and she shook her head; why had that come to mind, of all things? Either way, she tried that, just sort of trying to get the magic out of the spear like one would squeeze toothpaste out of a tube.

Try as you might, no amount of squeezing seems to do the trick, your gentle minustrations eliciting no response from the thick, hard shaft.

Noriko puffed her cheeks out, betraying slight frustration. That didn't work, maybe she should try pushing instead?

A key. A lock. Three pins. Picture that for a moment. Picture it not being quite the best fit. Picture it not being at quite the right angle. Really picture it, feel it, applying more and more force until it sinks in once, then twice, then thrice. That is what happens here. Your spear burns, first blue, then green, then red.

"You did it! Did you feel it? It's in three layers - kinetic, elemental, explosive. All of these have those layers even if you don't load all three. Try and get a feel for them with the other two."

Faith stood around for a moment, but, no, it didn't seem anyone really had any clips to offer. Still, she had an idea... and so she walked back up to Minato. "Umm... Minato, I know you can make fancy artifacts and stuff with the... thing you use to make... the fancy artifacts. But anyway! I was wondering if it was possible that you could make smaller mundane stuff with it? Or is it just the swords and spears and stuff?"

"I think I can only make legendary artifacts. Maybe I could, but I wouldn't count on it."

Faith sighed and played with her hair a little with one hand, casually rolling the potion vials around in the  other hand. ”Darn. I was kinda trying to find some way to attach these to my skirt or something. As is I might have to... like... try to tangle them up in my skirt’s belt loops or something and hope for the best.”

In response to Satoshi, Shef said, "I'll have to keep that in mind."

As he himself was figuring out where he wanted to store the items he'd collected, Shef overheard some of the surrounding conversation. So after Faith spoke, Shef cut in. "We are at a mansion. I'm sure if you asked nicely the people here would be willing to help. Duct tape or pins or something, I'm sure they'll have something to spare."

"Yeah I felt it. Something didn't feel quite right though. I sort of. . . pushed it through, but there was some resistance. Like a bent hinge or something."

"Was the resistance in three steps?"

Shef, to Faith's mild startlement, approached her and Minato briefly, but evidently only to make a blindingly obvious point -- obvious enough to make Faith bring her palm to her face. "Oh... yeah... we're at a mansion." She removed her palm from her face, and looked around, "Riiiight... well, Minato, I'm gonna go find a maid to ask for some pins like he suggested, I guess."

She figured a maid would be more likely to have pins than a butler, and between the two maids her options were this Evi girl and another maid she'd not met before. Well, to be honest what with Evi apparently being happily being messed up and covered in her own blood, she did creep Faith out a bit, so for now she'd go for the other one. So she approached the other maid, the one with the leathery-looking books, and spoke, injecting some confidence into her voice: "Hello there! I'm Faith and, well: do you have any pins or things that I could borrow? For the fight we're about to have I need to be able to fasten the potions I got to my belt loops or something, so I don't have to hold them in my hands while fighting."

"Probably, I'll have a look." _(Fleur)
Soon enough, she returns with a utility pouch belt.

The maid lowered her tome as she shifted her attention to Faith, and Faith reflexively took a glance downwards to see-- Faith's glance shot upwards, a scandalized expression on her face, which also, of course, had a blush. WOW. Of all the things to be reading in public, hen-- wow, Faith had just come absolutely nowhere near to expecting that. She shut her eyes for a moment but... nnnope, she wasn't going to be forgetting the contents of that glimpse any time soon. Good Lord.

So, of course, when Fleur returned, she'd find Faith with her composure rather totally destroyed, blushing like a tomato and rather unable to look Fleur in the eyes. It took Faith a moment to realize that Fleur had spoken to her, so it was a couple of seconds until Faith started, and then looked down at the belt. "U-um... yeah... um, that should work really well."

Fleur tosses you the belt before turning the tome over to face you and flipping through the pages.
