You organize a fortified camp at the plains, as the local lands lack in hills or forests or any easily defensible positions. Part of your cavalry is dismounted and pick up crossbows to provide cover fire.
The rebel mass approaches from southeast and soon it is evident that there is more than three thousand five hundred of them! But you have no time to react, as they charge!
8!*
The initial attack turns into a terrible massacre of the rebels, as your cavalry mounts a wonderful counterattack that smashes into the center of their troops and hacks down many of their 'officers'. Few are taken captive and soon it is evident that these are Ceodwellians!
A little bit of pressure later new information surfaces; these are Ceodwellian Singularists of various noble and army ranks, who, hearing of their fellow worshippers' plea, decided to join their ranks. You also learn that nearby walled town of Uinach was a rallying point for them.
Truly, the overtly successful victory brins only bad news. After a council with your officers, there's some decision time...
About involvement of Ceodwellians...
A) Send a letter warning your uncles that if their people continue to get involved in your lands, you will do so too - in theirs.
B) WAR UPON CEODWELLS, THEIR WIVES, THEIR COWS!...
C) Send a letter demanding the Ceodwell Royalty pays in wealth for their subjects' rebellious behavior.
D) Do nothing, it's evident that the Royalty has nothing to do and no one can really rein in few hundred zealots.
About next move in the war...
A) Let's swoop and cleanse Uidach out of possible Singularist remnants!
B) Send some cavalry to check Uidach while the rest joins with Feodh at Luathbas.
C) Time to rest and await Pantheonist fodder to join us.
