You decide to march to the closest of cities - Tiann.

Five days later, the siege begins.

962 AD, Midsummer

It doesn't take more than half a month to trouble within the city to begin. Your men and you see a smoke smoldering in few parts, and the next morning an envoy of the city council arrives under escort of your Spymaster's agents. As you sit down with him to talk, you know that your first offer will be:

A) Demand that the city unconditionally surrenders.
B) Demand that the envoy leaves, as you have a slight thirst for destruction that needs to be quenched.
C) Demand that the city gets rid of Eist garrison and starts paying tribute to you.
D) Demand that the city council gets rid of the Eist garrison, and then does not interfere with march of your Army - it will be spared.

On the other hand, opening with a reasonable offer is a sign of good faith (this is not true in every culture, but we have no indication that Luathbasian culture values bartering that highly)

Although I do believe that making a good offer first is best as we're pretty much ALL Luathbas in our roots :P

We never picked the "Wait" option while we were the Ruler! :P And only did it benefit us WHEN THE ENEMY SENT DIPLOMATS did we speak to them.

So I'm really wondering about the counteroffer to tribute.
