A week into Autumn, you receive in your tent a courtier from the palace.

"Greetings, Grand Duke!" Lord Mitain bows his head. "I bring news from the court. The harvests these year were bontiful but as we're at war and our Treasury isn't exceptionally well, the court decided against lavish festivals. There's also one more thing, it's about dwarves of Zonalath."

"What about them?"

"They're mining gemstones! Whole bags and small coffers of cut gemstones and gem trinkets leave their fortress annually! Our people found out after some bandits attacked one of their caravans, and amongst recovered loot was a whole load of chests of jewels with mark of their newest fortress. The court couldn't decide if the dwarves were simply making use of the area they're protecting or whether they made Lizardmen a pretext to open such profitable mines. Thus I was sent to seek your counsel, my lord."

A) "The dwarves already pay a tax every two years, no need to demand more."
B) "This means they have coffers full with money, and can easily pay us every year instead every two!"
C) "Treachery! The court ought to send for dwarves and have them release control of gem mines to us!"
