The Luthian cavalry crashes against the spears, trying to dislodge your men, but they prevail. Then, a hail of arrows falls upon the Luthian cavalry, causing it to rout - and then your own horsemen run after the fleeing enemies, cutting down many of them!

The next morning after this fast and tremendous victory, one of your aides arrives at your tent. The two nearby cities have sent emissaries and wish to discuss the terms of surrender.

A) Nah, they will starve for a while longer for their blunders earlier.
B) Very good, it's about time we move on. Bring them in!

You decide to meet with the two emissaries.

They praise your martial prowess and your benevolent rule in Tven, for starters. Then they say that their mastersa would like to see the two cities retain indepedence whilst also declaring cutting ties with the remainder of the Alliance.

A) Surely they can't think I'm going to allow that! Time to starve them few months more.
B) Tell them that I shall honor their request and the two cities will be left alone if they declare neutrality.
C) Tell them that the only possible, logical and worthwhile course of action is becoming your subjects.

Edit: You know, on thinking about it, this doesn't even seem like a bad deal for them. They are presumably the closest two cities to the gold mine, which means if they join our kingdom not only will they be protected militarily, but they'll probably become fabulously wealthy off the gold trade, sure, we'll collect our cut, but that gold is presumably not all being shipped to our coffers as bars, some of it gota be worked and used, not to mention all the auxiliary economic pieces to support  the mine, tools, food, people, etc. We'll get some of the wealth from it, but they'll no longer be sharing it with the other cities either, so they might even come out ahead of where they were before we took the mine.

Few days later, after the cities have been garrisoned with some few hundred of your men, your Army is marching southeast. The fortified, populous city of Luathbas in now in the east, but scouts report that Luthians seem to be gathering in the south, at the city of Edvann. You decide to...

A) Set up camp right here and now so your enemies will have to come to you rather the other way around.
B) March your Army east and begin the siege of Luathbas.
C) March your Army south and try to instigate a decisive battle against Alliance's forces.

C, the sooner we get to talking terms with the rest of them the better. It'd be especially nice if we could link up with any Lametanian raiders in the process.
