A) "They've sent a drunk to deal with me!? Toss him out, I won't stand such insult to my status!!"
B) "Heh! A drunken man is easier to negotiate with. Bring him in, bring him in!"
MAYBE he got DRUNK because he LOST HOPE and otherwise THIS IS CRAZY because we can shove him out when we get to hear from him.

I mean it's not like they're sitting on their walls with telescopes and then giggling behind those parapets as they see this diplomat drunkenly drag his way in.

And "A" is winning by...around 3 or so at this point o_O

The court noticed the rather sour mood of the populace but as you're at war and the economy of the Duchy is so-so currently, they decided against sponsorship of festivals.

971 AD, Mid-Spring

A large cavalry force was spotted in the east; there's about thousand and hundred of light cavalry, riding under seven different banners of Luthian cities.

A) This means we should fortify our encampments and prepare for repel the inevitable charge of theirs.
B) Let's split the besieging forces so about half our numbers goes and meets with the cavalry.
C) Time to abandon the sieges and find ourselves a better spot to fight!

Well, this could go poorly, but fortifying the camps just means we get attacked from both sides, and abandoning all our siege progress is a worse idea, so

Yeah, rip I guess. Leaving the city behind is my first instinct but with the domestic issues we've been having, we probably want this war to go fast. And since they are light cav we probably can't ignore them because otherwise they could raid our supplies. So, rip I guess.

Hum. How can we turn population into a usable resource. I guess drafting, but that normally lowers happiness as well doesn't it? So population isn't a huge bottleneck.

Maybe when we hit high population we'll get offered a chance to trade it in for a large bonus like we did when we hit high economy and the sorceress came in spamkingdom 1, but I'm not sure what that'd be... Maybe demon summons come needing to sacrifice a kingdoms worth to summon demons or something?

We could ask the demons to mind control our population to increase their happiness.
