Hmmm, I know there isn't actually a spot for a Historian, but can I record everything that happens anyway?

This thread will be where you handle kingdom affairs. It's just for you and your guildmasters.

A second thread will be for your subjects.

At this time you just need to get guildmasters to head the major departments.

Especially the college and merchant masters.

Why sir I am just your head royal advisor! Yet I feel this is a sign of Good Fortune for the kingdom to come that Our Majesty values good information so highly!

A letter lies sitting on your desk, not placed by anyone you know of.

Greetings King Greymane, 1st of his name,

I represent a group of butchers, tailors, carpenters and other concerned workers.  We are seeking to create a guild of like-minded craftsmen who can ply their trade in the service of the crown.  We have many connections to both the lower and upper class as well as foreign nations and can help to expand your influence in those areas.

You may find that such a network would be privy to many secrets and may have access to the more unsavory parts of your kingdom which you might take advantage of.  Therefor we ask for the position of CraftMaster so that I might come and go from  freely to discuss the concerns of the common people.

Your humble servant,
Lord Farenthin Void-Slayer

Imic read the note.
'Ah. I see.'
'I see what this is.'
'I want this sent to Lord Farenthin.'
The courier who had been standing there patiently took the letter Imic had written and left.
'Hmmm...'

Dear Lord Farenthin Voidslayer.
I have read your letter, and I have decided to accept your request to be the Craft master. However, I understand what you want, and I can accept that also. I shall make this letter no longer then it already is, as I am busy with founding my kingdom. I wish you luck in your new occupation.
Sincerely
King Imic Greymane I

As the letter left (I only saw Roseheart's post just now) the royal advisor leaned in and told him something.
'Yes, but it is something we need, never the less. An old friend of mine once gave me some good advice, which I should start to heed seriously now that I am in this position. If there is crime, let it be at least be organized. This gives me an idea...'

Everyone calls me thiefmaster sure, but I am a legitimate business man who will bring no shame to the honor of the king.  Sure I find who might be in position of a stolen item now and then, and certainly I gossip at the taphouse, but that can not be tied back to anyone in particular.

So yes, sure, call me a ThiefMaster, even if I am just the head of an organization of perfectly legal activities.

(Tempted... There may still be good reason not to do this... To combine thief and merchantmaster.)

Edit: it just makes too much sense I have to put these overlapping tasks together to not make it ridiculous.

Now we just need a MonkMaster.
