((What's the difference between the threads? And could you link them in the OP cause I'm wandering all the time how to get to the other one.))
((Edit: am I the merchant listed in the last IC post?))
((Get it again, this is for the king and the other thread for subjects, but I still need assurance on my second question.))

So, the combat system.

Let's say that each player has some stats like STR, AGI, INT, and RES. These stats would add modifiers to certain rolls in combat. They all start at 1, and the players have an arbitrary well thought out number of skill points to customize their character.

Let's also say that every player has 50 base hp. Players may increase this with skill points.

Spoiler: Base stat sheet (click to show/hide)

Will run off a d20, stats will aid related rolls, and skills that TankKit err, Tarkin come up with will probably affect this somehow.

I, the king, shall give 150 gold to the man or woman who brings me the head of the vile beast!

Voido can design which items go into the game. Weapons, armors, and healing(buffing, poison) potions will overlap with the combat, so cooperate with Knightmaster.

Perhaps training books will overlap with MonkMaster's skill design. I imagine a spell only being usable once a day might be good, but I leave it in your hands(I'll adjust difficulty accordingly).

Sir, Banann enters the throne room in a noble walk. He awaits his turn to speak with the king.
"Oh, great and majestic King Imic the 1rst, I Banann your servant ask for your permission to borrow a simple donkey from your royal stable, so that I can kill the beast that's harassing these lands with the help of the mercenaries in these woods."
He backs up and awaits the kings response.

I shall support you in your endevours to kill the beast, but I ask for only one thong: that you bring me the beast's head. In that way, you may borrow anything short of someone else's horse from the stable.

"Thank you, oh great and merciful king of these lands."
Banann moves to the side where different circles of guild members gather. He moves toward the table with a sign of a gold sack above. There he finds the person he was looking for - Voidslayer, the great merchant and treasurer of this kingdom.
"oh, noble Voidslayer, I come from far lands where currency is different than here. Could you explain how much is 150 pieces of gold wort in these lands?"

Update!

Names:

S3RN1C's name is Shragnar!

Tankkit's name is Tarkin

Imic's name is Imgar

Roseheart's name is Rosthor!

Void Slayer's name is Voido!

Snow Dwarf's name shall be... oh screw it, he's already used Sir Banann, I guess I'll go with it. *Glares angrily at snow dwarf*

Chrose's name shall be... Chretont.

History:
Day 1: Soon after the start of the new kingdom, a werewolf attacked and reward of 150 coins was placed upon it's head. The first to try and get rid of it was the brave Sir Banann, who rode just a mere donky to it's lair.

More names, and some history. Note: Things will constantly change, for example if you lose then I'll change brave to say bravefoolish, If you win it will stay the same and also praise your name... Welcome to history! ((Also, Roseheart, should I post this in the other thread to?))

No. Do not take suggestions, and adhere to the naming formula presented.))

((Eh, you know what. This will be easiest, and maybe most fun. Guildmasters will name and give their members their starting items. For now this will be gold, what ever the king permits for each guild to dispense.))

((Or he can give each guild a lump sum.))

My king! I have what in other circumstances would be good news. A caravan of peasants is bound for Shrewgust.

These migrants are not the type to take to guilds, but toil and make a simple living, and happily pay taxes to the crown for a safe home.

However with the werewolf menace about, it may be good to turn them back.

The advanced messenger has informed they will be here on the morning of your second day on the throne.

The Caravan has already traveled half the distance, turning them back would not bode well for Shrewgust, yet if we cannot ensure their safety in time, this could be a disaster.

The messenger awaits further instructions, My Liege.

Allow them in, but keep them held in the prison at night time to make sure that they are not infected.
