Warning: This game is fueled by player input - game balance not included. You have been warned.
This game will have 8 players and will last 5 rounds. It is based around the idea of player-generated roles, where everything but your Alignment has been decided by another player. At the beginning, they will each be presented (not assigned) an Alignment. They will then design a Wincon based off of that Alignment and send it to me via PM. Once everyone has done that, I will send the Alignment+Wincon to a different player, but will only present the Wincon to them. They will think of an "Archetype" it will fall into (Investigation, Deception, Protection, Killing - basically whatever you can think of). Once that is done, I will send the Alignment+Wincon+Archetype to yet another player. They will see the Archetype with the Alignment added in front (Evil Deception, Town Killing, Neutral Conversion, etc.). That player will create the role's first ability, and give that ability a name. Then I will take the Alignment+Wincon+Archetype+Ability (let's just call it a "role" now) to another player, who will only see the ability, and will decide what the Rolename is. Lastly, I will give the role to one more player, but present only the Rolename. That player will create the second ability of that role.
Never in this process does a person receive the same role twice. In the end, there will be some players who have not seen or added anything to the role. One of those people is assigned that role for the round, and then the round begins. I will choose whether it is a day start or a night start, depending on the roles present in the game. So, to recap the steps:
1. Alignment -> Wincon
2. Wincon -> Archetype
3. (Alignment+)Archetype -> Ability 1
4. Ability 1 -> Rolename
5. Rolename -> Ability 2
6. Roles are assigned
7. Game begins

Extra rules and stuff to keep in mind:
-If you want to be replaced, it would be better if it happens between rounds than in the middle of one. It won't mess up the game as much.
-Although you may use your knowledge of what role-fragments you witnessed/created when making decisions, do not reveal those role fragments to other players (however, you may tell players a decision is "because of the role fragments I know of").
-Only send your role-fragment PMs to me. I will use a shared google docs to reveal it to Spectators.
EDIT:
-"Anti-<alignment>" means: Not being <alignment> and having a wincon that would endanger <alignment> players.
-If a wincon doesn't say you have to be alive you don't have to be alive.
