The secretary informs you that two men want to meet with you; one is Father Zecklinger, possibly with some religious demand, and the other is captain of small Frigate Glorie, saying its urgent.

A) Father Zecklinger rules morale, and morale rules people. Let's hear him out first.
B) Military matters are ALWAYS urgent! Let the Glorie's captain in first.

Urgent, you say? The good father will understand that safety of the colony comes first; after all, dead men cannot pray.

You ask for the Glorie's captain to come in first. He salutes you upon entry.

"Greetings, noble Governor! I've come to report that yesterday and today my men, while on a patrol, have sighted two small galleons, both sailing under the flag of Króne. As they're not our friends since the War for Duchy of Feuern eleven years ago, I ask that I'm allowed to take the Glorie, the Hildegaard and the Asgard to pursue and intercept the Krónean vessels!"

A) "We don't need to do anything harsh like that! But do take the Glorie on a trip and meet with the foreigners and see what they're up to."
B) "Indeed, that is a sound plan! Go and may the Dragon King favor you in the upcoming battle!"
C) "We don't need to do anything hars like that! Instead, take two ships and maybe fire up some warning shots to make the Króne get away from our claimed land."
D) "Nay, we need you here, good captain, as well as your ship."

Hmm.
Much depends on the nature of these 'small galleons'. Are they small war galleons, outfitted with a full complement of cannons and marines, or are they small trade galleons, with only a handful of cannons to discourage casual piracy?
If the latter, engaging in a bit of, hem hem, 'freelance privateering', may be a profitable endeavour. If the former, it might be a good way to get our tiny fleet made even tinier.

Hmm. No, we need our fleet to protect our potential fisheries, which are our most valuable asset at the moment. We shouldn't risk it. Instead, let us engage in some diplomacy.
