Stab this cur in the back with my katana, at full force.
Goddamnit, let me change the effects of the Ring of the Druid because fuckign autocorrect is mad at me for referencing it as bad
Ring of the Druid (+2 to all biomancy spells and nature based attacks if the hit is successful without the modifier)
You leap at the fiend, moving lithely as a jungle cat stalking prey.
(13 + 3 + 2 + 2 = 20 vs. 19 - 10 = 9)
You drive your katana through the creature's back, and wrench it out in a spray of blue blood. The creature screeches at turns towards you, but the fight is already over. The thing is barely able to stay on its feet, let alone attack you.
+1 blue blood!
"Warrior of the woods y'say, would it be that elf I saw a while back?, who knows, also if it were up to me it seems that the 3 red and blue blood seems like the best value deal"
Explore around the town trying to find some thugs to beat up on while waiting for Dragnean to finish his slave business
(Two things, late message but hoped you did well on the standardized testing thing. Also is this city really cosmopolitan (cosmoracial?) because I don't understand how the presumptive assumed human citizens wouldn't already turn their head on a lizardman and whatever Draignean is, I mean how isn't a crazy lizardman prophet talking to a deity-like figure not natural in this town?)
The city is rather urban (for a medieval setting), but mostly abandoned. It's inhabited by two main groups composed of many different races. The spirits, of which you are one, are the lost adventurers, soldiers, and even just peasants who somehow slipped into the Resonance. They are made up of all different kinds of races, coming from different worlds and the like, explaining their lack of surprise at seeing a lizardman and a bespectacled illuminati. They inhabit the good parts of the city, but their numbers are dwindling, leaving the once grand city as a ghost town.
Then there are the natives. This group is mainly composed of normally savage creatures with sentience (such as cuttlefish men) that have adapted to the city and become somewhat civilized. They vary greatly in shape and form. They inhabit the slums of the city, since they are often persecuted by the spirits who live in the other areas.
The main thing that distinguishes spirits and natives is blood. Spirits tend to have both red and blue blood innately, and are able to acquire blood from other creatures they kill. Natives have predominantly black blood, and are unable to collect blood.
You go back to the slums of the town, where you first killed that vagrant. You stroll down the alleys, and eventually find three cuttlefish men gambling in a corner, weapons sheathed and unready. You quietly sneak up to them, and...
(7 + 3 = 10 vs. 12 - 10 = 2)
Drive your spear through the back of one of the cuttlefish men! The other two both draw their weapons as they see the blood of their comrade spill forth, but they seem unprepared for the assault.

"ah, you're awake. And you can talk too, good. Makes it a lot easier to get answers out of someone when they speak the same language.
Let's get formalities out of the way quick: I am Dustan, your judge, jury, and possibly executioner depending on your behavior. You have the right to remain silent, though it would be in your best interests to act friendly and answer the questions truthfully.
Let's start with simple things. What is your name?"
Interrogate my captive. Learn why they and their men were fighting alongside the monsters.
The cuttlefish man chortles.
"You cannot say name, spirit. Is not your language. Is not able for your kind say."
You ask where the cuttlefish man comes from.
"I come from great spawning lake, where Water Spirit is live. Your people encroach on our land."
You ask the cuttlefish man why he fights alongside the monsters.
"Lake Spirit. When your people kill us, steal our land, Lake Spirit defend us. Teach our peaceful people how to fight. Give us strength to face evil invaders like you. Lake Spirit is send us forth to hunt down evil, lurk within world of your kind."
You prod for some more information, but the cuttlefish man's simple and broken speech provides little more information than that.
"Warrior of the woods y'say, would it be that elf I saw a while back?, who knows, also if it were up to me it seems that the 3 red and blue blood seems like the best value deal"
"I quite agree," Dwyn said, motioning to the one who'd bid three red and three blue blood. "I'd also make the point that finding said others might be a great deal easier in the dark- under the assumption that they have the same glow about them.
Dwyn took the bid for 3 blue and 3 red blood. Give 1 blue to the Lizard, and 1 red to the slavemaster who helped me earlier. No debt unpaid.[/color]
Without even seeing the face of the person you are dealing with, you hold out your hand and announce your decision. Seconds later, you feel something flow through you as another hand briskly touches yours, then takes your slave.
+3 red blood!
+3 blue blood!
The lizardman is nowhere to be found, but you're able to locate the other slaver, who you find purchasing a whip. Upon seeing you, he gives you a crooked grin.
"Yer back, eh! How did you fare out there?"
You tell him about your recent victory, and present him with the red blood. He readily accepts it.
-1 red blood.
"Yer too kind! Here... Lemme give ya something in return. I have more o' these than I can rightly use without gettin' sick. Have a few, on me."
Koziko Root x 4 (restores 10 HP. If consumed within 3 rounds of using another root of any kind, the user is poisoned for 5 turns. This effect does stack.)
