It is a mobile factory. it opens a portal to the remnant dimension, allowing remnant units to come through.

This requires food per unit coming through the portal.

I read it as 5 tiles with the two first sentances being one concept. Not a sweep of the whole map. I am intending to play it the way I first understood it.

Oh, I get it now. Summon 1 Werebird, then: The larvas will take time to hatch, so if I rush him now, he won't have the time to prep his army. He can still summon the higher stages, though, but it will disrupt his strategy. When that werebird's done, I'll summon another, to look for food and fudge.
