You take a massive chunk of the earth and you crash it down into the magma sea. The displacement of the magma forces it up. Then you can take it and move it to your needed locations, using pumps or carts.

Check the wiki for more info.

So, guys I'm gonna finish up Armordipped. It's partially because of no sand and partially because the more I "have" to play dwarf fortress to provide updates the less I'm enjoying playing it. This way I'm gonna wrap it up. It's also because I have a shit tone of hobbys and with Armordipped I couldn't find time to do the things I enjoying doing and I want dwarf fortress to be one of those things. Sorry to all those that were hoping for more updates. However if there is anyone out there that would like to take this over, I'm more than happy to provide you with the save and the tricks on how I manage slaves. I could also go for some kind of two player succession game, because that would give me enough time in between to actually enjoy playing. If there is anyone go ahead and post, if no than that's OK too.

:-/ okay.
While I was hoping for more updates, I don't want to kill your love of such an awesome game as this.

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

I understand, I am running into a similar issue with my mega project. It is taking forever to get enough to finish the roof.
