Previous -- NextI'm ready, but there will be a lot to handle afterward.
Dwain's insight roll: 2, Fail!
John's insight roll: 4, Succeed!
Dwain gets to thinking. You take up one of the iron sickles--you know, casually set there in the dust like you do with your valued farm equipment--and walk to the dripwater. The flowing water feeds cavereed, just as you'd seen it in Rock Bottom and near the Halfway House, and here the clumps of reed are thick with grain to harvest. Just look at the sickle: it is dented and scratched like you wouldn't believe! These hoarding wastrels must get a lot of use out of their agriculture, hey?
John gets to shuttling the obvious goods back and forth. The wheelbarrows are soon at capacity. You are forced to empty the waterskins you got from the hoarding wastrels in order to drop some weight; but that's alright, you had no idea if you could trust the water anyway. You also cram the various vials into your own pack and take Overseer's old waterskin as well.
But with that! Ah, you can load up on glowstone, lots of coal, iron bars . . . even a stack of workstone bars! Nice!Wheelbarrow (iron, surface wood): 90/90 kg capacity

You cast about the forge for something else to grab in one final load. What of the furnace area itself, still glowing with the fires of glowstone? What were these wastrels working when you arrived, anyway?
Looks like . . . they were melting down iron skull caps. Skull caps? What? They don't wear metal caps; not that you've seen. Wait a minute; you've faced iron sickles and skull caps once before. The hoarding wastrels got this stuff from the ugly mugs. They stole it. The hoarding wastrels are thieves.
. . . Oh, eurgh, and what about the "meat"? Is it scaled turkey after all, or is it ugly mug for dinner?! You become acutely aware that your team has only enough food for one more night, while you are surrounded by meat that is not only unappetising, it may very well be inhuman to eat. You need to get back to civilization as soon as you can.
And so, with a signal to Dwain, you pack up to leave. Quickly.John (ziizo): I already put the other sickle into your backpack. But there were two mining picks, and you said to take "weapons": do you want those mining picks in your backpack? With that you will be at maximum capacity (just like the wheelbarrows are).
Everybody: We're almost ready to go. Any final instructions?
What I'm going to do next is a double update, covering what happens when you head down that tunnel and reach the next area. This will also involve camping: can I assume you'll want to burn bulky coal instead of compact and efficient
glowstone? For meals, you'll eat some of your final travel food, of course.
And once I post the second part of the double update,
I'll invite waitlisters! Hooray! It's been so long . . . are you people still reading? The next four on the list are:
Larry (Shadowclaw777)
Lazarus (ufo)
Gary (Coolrune206)
Hagrid (heydude6)Shadowclaw777 missed out once already, but ufo sent a private message reporting interest. Are you up to date (-ish) and ready to go?
If anyone's missing, here are the next people on the list:
Sir Lootser (TankKit)
Bob (magmaholic)
Louis (dustywayfarer)
I must have a list of players before I do the update, as it'll be your turn to start!
