"Yoink! That's mine now!"

Grab the Iron War Hammer, I don't want to be weaponless in a place like this. Also make sure that it's actually good quality.

"Pieces of Bodies? Oh shit this is the Wall Tiger Den! Move quickly everytime we pass for here the bastard kills one of us and escapes before we can kill it"

Go away faster, keep alert to prevent being ambushed by the Wall Tiger

"Yoink! That's mine now!"

Grab the Iron War Hammer, I don't want to be weaponless in a place like this. Also make sure that it's actually good quality.
"Excuse me, sir, but you appear to be reaching into this pack I'm holding, when you have a perfectly good one of your own... "
If that action has not yet been completed, make an attempt to retain possession so as to heft it myself and ponder its usefulness.

But if the grab has already happened/cannot stop happening, retrieve one of of those scaled-turkey bone things and advance towards Sir Looty,
"Wouldn't you rather take one of these, in its stead, or maybe in exchange for your other weapon, the pick?" Advance with the pointy end forward. "How did that fellow say these worked again? Does it only work when touched against rock, or do I have to be careful touching it against anything else?"

(There's not much use for 'personal space', where I came from. I am likely to loom uncomfortably close with this item that probably won't do anything, but do either of us really know this?  Or just see if my own prior hold upon the whole kaboodle has prevented such an encounter before it even starts, as I attempt to be stoic and standfast.)

...however this resolves, some people already here, and not obviously hostile, seem to want to get away from here.  Don't lose track of where they're going, and why. I definitely think I should make sure I have either that hammer or a pick, to swing, before doing too much else, until I know more.

"Please. Let's keep ourselves from quarrel after just dropping in here. Besides, there are others, who... Wall Tiger? If that means anything like I think it means, we should walk away now and talk later. Don't run. If it's right above us that will probably only prompt it to attack."

Grab our wheelbarrow, and casually walk with the rest of the group hopefully away from the reported Wall-Tiger Ambush Spot.

Ahh, it had been too long.  It's satisfying to read you people interacting.

But that's not quite everyone yet, so I'll wait on Durenadal (HugeNerdAndProudOfIt) and Overseer (FallacyofUrist) before anything that requires a roll (or scene change).  See you tomorrow!

If the guy does point the scaled tureky bone thing at me: Sir Looty leans backwards as the guy gets closer, raising his hand with one finger up. "Boop." He pokes the guy's nose. (The outside of the nose, not the inside.) He then looks at the scaled turkey bone thing, before carefully lowering his hand towards it. "Boop?" He pokes the pointy end.

( . . . I was planning to do a little opposed roll to see if the item changes hands and then only use "extra material" if needed.  I see you people are writing the scene yourselves.)

(By the way: not that your character would necessarily notice to start, but the older players have an iron knife and workstone knife and iron halberd spread across a couple wheelbarrows that no one has claimed for some reason.  (See inventories in first post.)  Come to think of it, though, you should be able to notice a huge halberd sticking out . . . )

(Sir Looty hasn't looked at the wheelbarrows yet.)

"Hi! Who are you?" Continue to town, gesture in the direction of town. "The town that I'm pretty sure you passed on the way down is this way, if you want to come."

(I'm not being rude, just there's only so much "if <encounter result> then <dialogue>" I want to do, without confusing things. With any luck, this'll resolve clearly and quickly. (And perhaps non-fatally, though in this game...) Then after the Wall Tigers and the other inevitable ambushes, maybe I'll prove myself as... maybe still an idiot. Let us see.)

(Pfft, don't worry.  About anything except infighting, scaly tigers that climb walls, and sudden death.)

So it turns out I was really busy today, but it was a productive sort, so that makes it worthwhile.  I have responses from everybody and will post tomorrow!

Edited P.S.:  I just noticed you wanted to make sure you have "either that hammer or a pick, to swing, before doing too much else."  In case it was missed, you all do have a pick in hand by default.
