Previous -- NextWith that handled, I have updated everyone's inventory in the first post. This includes filling water kegs as much as possible.
Dustan (Dustan Hache) and
John (ziizo): you are both setting out for adventure at maximum weight.
Anyway, I sincerely hope you found Rock Bottom interesting: I loaded it with (probably) more content than I could dish out in a forum game format, and that meant a lot of time typing.
Before the end of your first visit to Rock Bottom, you make sure to fit in other necessary activities. Shopping, for one. Durenadal purchases the distillery setup from the Aegir family, trying to keep things civil. (Really, they're the ones acting all weird here.)
John inquires about the salt mines. The answer is unhelpful: "The salt mines we use are rarely further out than the Halfway House." Upon further prodding, apparently you just "head to the mines" and hopefully you get there? This ambiguity is why sometimes shipments can get lost: routes become unclear and then the ugly mugs (or other hazards) swoop in.
You get an opportunity to share this . . . knowledge (?) . . . because you all regroup in the morning. You have to: armed individuals knock on doors and walls, rounding up all non-residents to kick them out until such time as you have more resources to sell.
The team is brought with the rest of the crowd to where you first arrived. So there's Frank, somehow even more bloodstained than last you saw. And hey! There's Sir Lootington way off ahead, near the edge of town! What in the world has he been doing?
Together again! When you catch up with Sir Lootington, you see that he's, uh, been detained by yet another group of guards, and they have some civilian standing behind them. They halt you. "There's a prospector who wants to talk to you." a guard says.
She walks to the front and glowers at the group, specifically Sir Lootington, Durenadal, and Overseer. "Lost your friend, did you?" She asks. "Lost my pack too, eh?"
She jabs a finger in Overseer's chest. "I believe you owe me a wheelbarrow!"Thank you,
Helmacon. Your impact has been felt far beyond your death.
Meanwhile, I have wrapped up this great big civilization experience by adding everything to
the opening posts:
A new section with all known items.
Updated minerals and creatures.
All progress in terms of adventures completed and carvings found.
And some short notes about the new civilization rules.
