I though the face was just a face but if is more important than I thought.

Inspect the carving, cover it with coal then press the parchment to it obtaining a copy

It is, ziizo . . . or it will be.  But let's start with looting.


Frank heads down the slope and grabs the loose rocks.  A shout of "diiiiiiiibs" is somewhat unnecessary when you're already there first, but whatever.

(I've added 2x 2 kg rough stones to your inventory.)

These minerals are incredibly light for their size.  It looks like there's a little more beyond another incline, too.  And . . . whoa, does it smell bad down here!  Your lantern sparks and spits.

Behind the action, others of you take a look at the carving.  Lootington appreciates a general "shiny riches" aesthetic, but sees nothing that looks like a loot opportunity here, so follows your "dibs" with more "dibs" and heads down the slope.  Durenadal was already joining you down here and they both see what you see.

And smell.  Whoof!  Durenadal gets a deep lungful of terrible air before he can say anything!  I mean, maybe there's something familiar about this teal from what you've seen down here since your exile, but any inspiration is wiped from your mind as you double over in a coughing fit.




John, more calmly, considers the carving.  It is etched into the striped rock face with shallow lines.  The work appears fairly crude, but what do you know about carving?

Anyway, your best guess is that it depicts some big ugly people with what look like riches.  There's little lines of light coming off of gems and stuff.  And the people are ugly.

The thing is smaller than a piece of parchment, so John presses a copy of it.  Dustan and Overseer stand guard.

Given the rest of the crew, this may be the wisest action yet.

Thank you folks so much for making the game hilarious.  I'm going to go find out just how dead ya'll are and post an update.

First resolve some overlapping actions in a cloud of gas where, honestly, its toxicity isn't the main concern.  Yet.

Spoiler: BAD THINGS (click to show/hide)

It's chaos!  Frank makes a move for the remaining loose teal stone, while Lootington swings a large rock of shale straight at his head!  In the enclosed space he manages only to strike the low sloping ceiling, and the shale in his hand shatters to cause a nasty cut into his wrist.  Well, at least this is reassuring that his "shale sword" will be able to do damage with such an edge.  Frank grabs the loot, even as his lantern flares in the horrid gas, and retreats to clean (-er) air at about the same time that Durenadal manages it.


John, looking for more evidence of carvings, paces along the walls into nearby areas.  Overseer considers the existing one: nothing looks familiar about it.  Just some ugly people with shiny riches.  Who carves these things?

John doesn't immediately find more art, but hey!  You do find signs of activity!




You've found a fully-mined-out cluster of glowstone.  You know this by a fading dusty light down the cracks in the shale.  People must have finished mining and moved on a short while ago.

Oh, and you see some chunks of hematite that have fallen out of a vein, but missed glowstone is what stings.


I wasn't sure what Sir Lootington's next action would be in case of failure, but figured you'd still want to get out of the gas.  If you want hematite, remember that it's a whopping 10 kg each and almost all of you are near capacity.  I've done the math and have some suggestions for if/when you leave this area.
