"we still have to catch up with the rest"

sell the rest of bob stuff (everything but the pick, splitterwands and waterskins) and add it to the paper bank thingy

"Indeed. We must be more careful from now on. We don't know what forces could be manipulating our dark thoughts from the shadows. Only if we work together and help each other, we will survive. There is always strength in numbers, because when the lone warrior loses his will to fight and gets tired, he has no one to lean on but on the ground."

You're both so obviously scum that this is a surprisingly difficult decision.

(I would suggest getting out of here as quickly as possible. Considering the current attitude of the guards.)

It seems he's finally starting to come around to the dark reality of his situation.

(Ha, ha, yeah, suuuuuure.)

But that aside:

After that take the backpack and waterskins from Bob and take Bob's pick over to Gary. Leave the splitter wand on the ground. (They can probably use it to help get materials for repairs.)
sell the rest of bob stuff (everything but the pick, splitterwands and waterskins) and add it to the paper bank thingy

Alyssa (Rautherdir), by "the backpack," do you mean its entire contents?  It looks like you'll be fine on space for it.  Contents are:

--Splitter wand (sparkstone, scaled turkey bone): weight 1 kg for several (there's one in the backpack AND one on the ground)
Mine very quickly; one use
--Food, one day: 1 kg
--Blanket (surface fabric): 2 kg
--Draft of engraving by Bob: 0 kg by itself (this can probably be discarded, can't it?)
Depiction of several human figures eating a hunted rock hydra.
--Chisel and hammer (iron): 1 kg
Carve sculptures and engrave stone

The surface kit has been claimed by Tohil (randomgenericusername), who is the only person who lacked one.  And with the pick handed off, the only remaining objects are a lantern, a mining helmet, and his damaged clothes.  John (ziizo), those would sell for a total of 21 opal, but are you sure you want to try something with that?  The idea of giving compensation to the locals--who, among other things, you appear to be tasking with handling the body--seems to have some weight.

Don't mind if I..

Welcome!  Though I find it hard to read that shadowy blue.  Could you accept regular blue?  Our older blue-colored party members seem to be gone.

After I get out of the pit, I intend to deal with the corpse myself, even if it means hauling it over my shoulder and putting my pack in one of the wheelbarrows.

(There's always that pit that needs filling in...  ;))

(Don't mind me. I'm not there and I'd be doing something different anyway.  :P)

Hmm, I detect a potential conflict!  Well, good thing you said this, as then I won't just blow straight past it.  And this seems to be everybody who's (mostly) present, so I'll get on with writing (among my various other things to do).

I said the corpse, not the items that formerly belonged to the corpse. If they want to give away useful supplies such as a blanket that can be converted to bandages, that's their thing. I am dealing with disposal of the body. Besides, there's a wall tiger near this location, right? Maybe we will see it again, and I will have a body for it to take ready and waiting. Heck, I might even tame it.

. . . Then I'm having various horrible mental images.  Typically, no one carries another adult human being for hours and hours without it being a profound exertion.  I default to saying that a person is 60 kg--which is low in the real world, but the distinction hardly matters in this game, since I say you're overburdened by that point anyway.

So I imagined our next conversation in advance.  I might point out "That's a lot of weight to carry for an indefinite distance.  I'd feel obliged to roll for injuries."  Then you might respond "I don't care.  I'll drag him behind me if I get tired."  And then things just go very ugly in my head.

Nah. Roll for injuries. The first generation of player killer has to die SOMETIME.

Question: How does class changing works? What would be the abilities of jobs like paladin, templar or cleric-knight?
