Louis wanders down south around the corner, following the tunnel.

Previous -- Next

Let's see, let's see . . .

Some among you go one way, some another way, and some don't.

Tohil and Bob receive parting mushroom-related advice from John before heading north.  John heads west-then-south, followed shortly by Dwain and Louis.

In the south, John recognizes the coal deposits on both the near and far ends of a new chamber.  You pay close attention and aren't terribly surprised to see that your lantern starts to spit and sputter.  The region may have aired out somewhat after your mining expedition, but it still smells bad.  You do not see or hear any living creatures in this end.

In the north, curious seekers investigate revolting remains!  Wow, what is this thing?  Whatever it was, it had three spindly legs as tall as you, supporting a body that you are charitably going to describe as jellyfish-like.  It's kinda hard to tell, because every bit that's "fleshy" enough to rot is covered in nasty mushrooms.

There's one of these things resting at the foot of the continuing hematite vein, and that might be another one in the distance down a narrow corridor to the west.  There are also some corpse-free pools of congealed blood back against the east side of this chamber, one of which is also supporting a mushroom or two.  Even from this distance, Bob notices that it's bigger and more bulbous.

. . . Yay, exploration and thematic elements.  I'd probably be a lot less excited by adventures myself if I had to smell them.

Interesting. Use my dagger to carefully cut the big mushrooms from the ground in the east and collect them.
((Since my inventory is full, could anyone take the mushrooms and put them in their inventory if they are too heavy?))

The dog behind the man behind the beard.
Immortality like that would be even more game breaking than four Aaron's in one place.
You're both so obviously scum that this is a surprisingly difficult decision.

As I'm not alone, and no screams or shouts are yet echoing from those left behind, I'm content to explore forward, still, but first I'll have a shufti at those cracks to the west of me, just because I've not done that for a while.

(Not that crack. The one just to my own west, give or take. Though if I see anything interesting in the crack I have the possibility of Boom-Sticking my way through that crack or shutting down my guttering lantern as I see if I can take the long way round. Depends on what I see and hear, though.)

(I like how people keep track of each other's location.)

I'll have a shufti

(British!  You're British!)

Indeed, I believe it would be Louis (dustywayfarer), not Dwain (Starver), walking forward.  Unless your concern is whether strange vapors are coming from the cracks in the walls.  But there are a number of interesting things going on right now, and far be it from me to limit the spirit of discovery!

(Either that or Egyptian Arabic!)

((But fair dinkum, cobber. It's kiff and lekker that you now know where I'm aboot, eh, though it'd be crack up if everything I said were pakaru. Still, even if I am flying it for the craic, y'all have a nice day now, duck...))

Set my backpack down by the wheelbarrows, swapping my pick and sword for the sling and knife. Grab the backpack with the Soulshine lantern and put the Soulshine lantern into the wheelbarrow. Then turn off my lantern and hunt for food near/in the southeastern passageway

(I'll be putting my lantern in my pack, and will be wielding the knife and javelin for now.)

Aheh. Noop. Bob goes back the way he came. Back to Dustan. While looking for any loose rocks on the ground he could carve into a mug.

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.
