"Likely is or was a moderately advanced civ in vicinity judging by emissions. No water vapor of note, implying barran planet. Air is breathable.. Primarily IR solar emissions.. Probably minimal cancer risk."
Soil sample. We're in a crater. Craters do not appear from nowhere. Also any notable radioactivity or ozone? Traces of chemical or biological weapons?
There does not appear to be residue of explosives, meteorites, or other weapons in the immediate area. From a cursory scan, there do not appear to be any organic components to the soil whatsoever, and Espada confirms this by sampling more directly with their hands. Seems to be mostly aluminum silicates with traces of carbonates, purely mineral. There might be traces of metallic dust, but a more detailed analysis would probably need either more time or more specialized equipment.
"This terrain reminds me of the Skorne campaign. The ground cracked by seismic disturbance or an impact, and the wider portions of the fissures sculpted round by intense wind over eons. The Dwarven contractors found it quite homely. Titus, were you on Skorne?"Titus slides down the wall and approaches the group. "If there is a city it's over that way." He points in the direction of the nearby trench. "It could also be the source of the distress call. Either way I'm checking it out." Titus walks into the opening.
"Sounds like a plan."Jaden poked his head out of the ship. "Aw man, this don't look like a picnic. I think I'll stay here, man."
The Traveler sighed and tugged on his whiskers.
"Oh crap. Normally I'd say fine, but while the ship is healing, I'd really rather nobody be in there. Might not be safe.""So, like, I just hang here in this hole?"
Frowning, the Traveler looked to those who'd scoped out the area.
"Think he'll be alright if we leave him here?"
