Twitch Stream of the slow decline of Boltshoots
« on: February 13, 2017, 10:47:50 pm »

I've created a Twitch stream to finish off my embark that has been going on for months (IRL) and years in-game.

https://www.twitch.tv/topher_bullock

Hoping to keep this going until the demise of all of my Dwarves and see what happens!

Embark:
I've disabled pausing for most everything, so it should stay running for a while. I've got 224 Civilizations, and the fort is a Mountainhome. Set up a follow hotkey for my king, and it will press every so often ( so long as my script doesn't die ) and recenter on him.

Tech:
Running everything on an Ubuntu instance in Google Cloud, using X11 Server and ffmpeg for streaming to Twitch, and xdotool to send keys to the Dwarf Fortress window. I had a bunch of credit on my GCP trial, a few days to use it, and a desire to bring this save game to its end.

Enjoy!

Saw it; seems like there was an announcement of tundra titan that interrupted following.
