The cloaked woman stood idly by as the two exchanged pleasantries and bits of their culture, with more than a hint of amusement.
: "Two people of stature today, hm? I don't suppose you're also looking for the Council?" She directed at the Seer.

"Not in particular. What is this....Council?"

Lukas grinned to himself, letting the various conversations flow over him. The way so many different people had congregated around the fountain,  you'd think they had been destined to do so!

Hell, he even saw a couple of old schoolmates. They didn't seem to recognize him though...perhaps it was his new robe. Or maybe (his smile grew a bit wider) they were simply having too much fun together. That was more likely.

The cloaked woman raised an eyebrow.
: "Oh dear, using the Gates and yet you do not know that much? The Council is simply the leadership of Hub, and presides over the usage and maintenance of the Gates themselves. They're comprised of a delegation from each of the core worlds, formed to best assess and deal with their welfare."
She sighed and shrugged.
: "I suppose it's less common knowledge than I thought."

"My tribe, until very recently, had no need of knowing what these Gates were or who ran them. I myself am trying to learn quickly."

[CrimsonEon]

: "I see. Well, I would say that your tribe is fortunate to have a Seer so willing to learn and adapt. Not all are so lucky to have such humble elders."
The woman cocked her head to the side.
: "If curiosity permits, however, you say your tribe only had need of learning the nature of the Gates recently. Why now?"

"That, I'm afraid, is my business alone. At least, until I figure out where I can start."

[I_Like_Pi]

"I take it you two must be from the academy then? If so, I see where you're coming from but there's more of a reason behind my choice of tome." As if finally elaborating, he pointed up into the sky where an ice blue wyrm was gliding about. "You see, she doesn't like it when I use fire magic while I'm on her saddle but before now I didn't really have a choice."

"As for who created it, well, if they wanted to be known they would be by now. Let's leave it at that, alright?"

"Well, couldn't you just have stuck to wind or thunder spells to avoid that? Seems a little bit of an extravagant... solution..." Burhardt, who had been speaking while staring into the sky, narrowed his eyes. "Is that wyvern blue? That's unusual."

[I_Like_Pi]

"I could have yes, but when you live on a frozen wasteland of a planet there isn't really all that much to spend your gold on, you feel me? So I decided to be a little extravagent with my choice of tome."

"You have good eyes, friend. But I'd say an Ice Wyrm is a bit more unusual than a blue drake. Or at least I'd like to think so, otherwise I'll feel a little less special."

"An Ice Wyrm?" Burhardt turned to Luna, one eyebrow raised high. He'd never heard of any such creature.

Luna shrugged.

"It's new to me too. Never heard of that species."

Branwen also looks up. She resists the urge to take out her axe and start defending herself more out of instinct than of specific hatred towards dragons; it was an instinct born of years of hunting in the wilds of Jaiep.
"Is that.....a dragon?"

"Huh, I didn't think it was such a rare thing. _{Maybe I shouldn't be showing her off like this..."} Xeno paused, considering if he should say anymore.

"Well, they're native to Tangur so I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that you haven't heard of 'em." He decided he might as well continue at this point. He turned to address the newcomer to their conversation. "They're sorta like dragons, I guess? Body structure wise anyway. Dragons get bigger than that, though. She's an adult so she won't be getting much, if any, bigger than she already is."
