"Yeah. Being so close to something so desolate...kinda reminds me of Ishval...but enough about that."

Roy continues walking towards Boatmurdered.

[Asin]

Merseth: "Ishval?"

[Greatness942]

"A country near Amestris. Because of a stray bullet hitting a small child, we went to war and basically slaughtered most of them. The survivors...the survivors scattered. I was there. I fought, I killed. Because I thought was I was doing was right."

Roy seems troubled, but keeps walking as though the thoughts rushing through his head weren't hurting.

[Asin]

Merseth: "Wow. Sounds not like a very good place..."

[Greatness942]

"It isn't a nice place anymore. My flames, the explosions caused by the Crimson Alchemist, Solf J. Kimblee...I'm surprised that there's even ruins to cry over at this point."

[Asin]

Merseth: "You know, I almost forgot to ask. What IS an alchemist? I don't think we had any of those where I come from."

[Greatness942]

Roy brings his head up and says, "People who can understand and use alchemy. It's not exactly something a child can pick up and just use. Alchemy, in layman's terms, is the manipulation and creation of matter. There's the law of Equivalent Exchange, of course. Basically, for an alchemist to make something, it must still be similar to what it was created from. If I were to transmute water into something, that something would still have to have the properties of water, and could only be the size of the amount of water I transmuted. I deal with fire, of course, so I don't have to worry about that."

Roy then turns to Merseth and says, "Now that I've given you a history lesson, is there anything else you'd like to know?"

[Asin]

Merseth: "Kinda reminds me of magic."

Roy shrugs his shoulders, continuing to walk towards Boatmurderd.

"It's a science. To create, something of equal value must be lost. Is your magic like that, Merseth?"

[Asin]

Merseth: "Kinda. In some cases, you'd have to sacrifice some blood or your soul or other such things to create an object or throw a fireball or something along those lines."

[Greatness942]

Roy grins. "Really? All I need to do to throw a fireball is snap my fingers, and let the air around me combust."

He then looks up, asking, "Hey, Merseth? How much longer until we get to the fortress?"

Merseth: "Not too far."

Suddenly, the Swedish Chef appears on the horizon, running towards the group, carrying a large vat.

"Eferybudy veet! I hefe-a bruought zee-a fuodstuoffs! Bork Bork Bork!"

[MoonyTheHuman]

The shapeshifter reappears once more.
"We got off on the wrong foot, and for that, i apologize" says the grutoguse, mortifying, distorted giant human figure, which quickly shifts into a adamantine axe welding dwarf.
"Lets try and get around this without a fight."
