The Tolmekians do so, sending Spyro out. He turns to them and says, "You think intimidation will help you? Shame."
[5 v 3, 5 v 1, 2 v 1], A fire breath ignites. One Tolmekian gets burned and launched, another misses the flame. As his skin burns, he rolls around on the ground. Nightmare Spyro begins edging closely to the most wounded man, when Dek suddenly pops out of the ground in a tank! [3-1 v 4] Firing to the right of Spyro, which was his plan all along, the Nightmare is flung into yet another building.
((Hey! So, lemme sum up what happened in the OOC thread.
Death occurs if two 5v1 or 6v1 events happen in a row. If you die, you get a choice of:
Permadeathing it, and changing your character
Be revived, but take a penalty of -3Luck Points, meaning you can't get a 5
Be banished to Valhalla (the old Avatar battle thread) and have to win three battles in a row (Roseheart said in general, but I think it makes it more interesting, and I ain't no pushover.)
Another, more severe option, such as losing limbs or something. We argued about that being part of the general battles, and I still don't know about Fun v. Realism in that debate. So, here's a little vote:
Fun: Maiming and Dismemberment should only happen at that threshold.
Realism: Attacks that should do that sort of thing will on sufficient dice rolls
To make Realism work so as not to be too destructive, we could also switch to the much fairer (and bigger) d10. Roseheart brushed that aside because I don't know, but I think having a bigger margin would make Realism more fun.))
