"Alright."

Roy follows the man.

*As they follow the old man, they enter a village, populated by all sorts of creatures. Some look... familiar to Papyrus and Roy, it seems...*

"Most of these people seem human, but I can't help but feel...wait a minute."

Roy takes a closer look at each person. Dark skin, red eyes. Most of the human occupants of the village are surviving Ishvalens.

*Merseth notices three dwarves working at a forge.*

Merseth: "Roy? What do you mean, "wait a minute?" Is something up with the humans in this place?"

"Most of these people are Ishvalen. Either we're in Amestris, or they've been brought somewhere else, too. Either way, looking at them...I feel so guilty that I did so much harm."

Merseth: "If this is that Amestris place you talked about, why is Boatmurdered, a dwarven settlement, nearby? I'd say they've been brought here. By what, not sure."

"I don't know. I'm just trying to figure everything out."

Roy is still following the old man.

*The old man stops in front of a highly elaborate building.*

Old Man: We're here! Follow me inside, I'll get the maps.

*As the old man walks to get the map, various objects are noticed on the shelves of the room. They seem familiar to Merseth, Roy, and Papyrus.*

Roy stares, gaped mouth, at some of the artifacts on display. A pair of his gloves are hung up, the throwing knives of the late Maes Hughes are stacked on a shelf, and most terrifying of all, a single red orb, glowing brilliantly in the sunlight.

"H-How? How do you have these? Maes's knives and...and a Philosopher's Stone? Who are you?"

"I RECOGNIZE SOME OF THESE THINGS TOO! THIS BLUE ORB, MY FRIEND UNDYNE FOUND IT WHILE SHE WAS DIVING IN THE TRASH DUMP, AND I'LL BE DARNED IF THIS TRIDENT DIDN'T BELONG TO KING ASGORE HIMSELF!"

"COME TO THINK OF IT, I THINK I SAW A FEW MONSTERS OUTSIDE..."

Papyrus is considering something...

Papyrus is considering something...

Old Man: "...
I suppose you need to know.
I am Lun Colordeep.
One of the first to enter this... world.

Let me tell you my story.

I was a lone wizard, helping a mighty dwarven civilization, The Bastion of Dawn.

However, during a magical experiment during the Elven Wars that occured, it backfired as elves invaded and interrupted the ritual and sent me here.

I later gained the ability to see into other dimensions and to travel there as well through my studies.

As for what this world is, it is a composite dimension.
A mixture of worlds all rolled into one.
However, they aren't YOUR worlds, per say.
Just parts of very similar universes.

Those artifacts, I collected for study.
Mainly the Philosopher's Stone.
Alchemy's a strange subject.
And that blue orb, Papyrus?
Really a worthless little thing. Not much power."

Old Man: "Yes and yet no at the same time.
It's fragments from alternate universes, but often the universes they come from are extremely similar to their "prime" universe."

"So, Maes's knives come from a different version of the life I've lived? Then, could it have been one where he survived? Do you know that?"
