Papyrus grabs onto Roy with blue magic at the last moment and pulls him out of there.

"VERY WELL THEN, SHAPESHIFTER, IF YOU'RE GOING TO ATTACK US, THEN FACE MY SPECIAL BLUE ATTACK!"

A massive swarm of blue-glowing bones appear out of seemingly nowhere and rush towards the shapeshifter, forming a nigh-unavoidable mass.

"Thanks, sir."

Roy then sends fire in to further damage the creature.

Dwarf 29 takes off his helmet and throws it at the beast!

[MoonyTheHuman]

said beast is not their right now.

[Asin]

Dwarf 29: "Oh by Armok... Where'd it go?! And I threw my lucky helmet at it too!"

[Greatness942]

Roy looks at the dwarf and says, "It turned into a gas, so it's probably in the air right now." He then turns to Papyrus and says, "Now, how about we have some of that rum, eh?"

[Asin]

Dwarf 29: "I concur! Good idea, Mr..."

(He doesn't know Roy's name...)

[Greatness942]

Roy turns back to Dwarf 29 and calmly says, "Major Roy Mustang. State Alchemist of Amestris. It's nice to meet you, Mr...?"

[Asin]

Dwarf 29: "Merseth Worldchannel. Just call me Merseth though."

(Dwarf 29 will now be called Merseth because he needs a name if he's gonna be a main character in this.)

Papyrus has been focusing on... something. Suddenly, he snaps to attention.

"AH, MY APOLOGIES, FRIENDS! I WAS ATTEMPTING TO ASCERTAIN THE POSITION OF THAT MYSTERIOUS SHAPESHIFTER! NORMALLY, MY BLUE ATTACK IS ABLE TO BRING SUCH CREATURES DOWN TO EARTH WHERE THEY CAN BE DETAINED, BUT IT SEEMS IT WAS ABLE TO DODGE THIS TIME! NO MATTER, I FEEL I SHOULD INTRODUCE MYSELF! I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS, FUTURE STAR MEMBER OF THE ROYAL GUARD! NYEH HEH HEH!"

Papyrus then produces a set of mugs from who-knows-where and fills them with the rum he's been preparing.

"AND YES, I DO BELIEVE NOW IS A WONDERFUL TIME FOR SOME RUM! NYEH-HEH-HEH!"

[Asin]

Merseth: "Papyrus. Interesting name. Save some ale for me."

*Merseth looks around*

*In the south, is a battlefield long forgotten. Skeletons, (not the moving kind) weapons, and other such things lay dormant*

Merseth: "Look to the south."

"Alright, then. Merseth."

Roy then turns to Papyrus and wonders aloud, "Royal Guard? So, you want to get into a military. Well, I am military, so if you need any advice, I can try to give it.", before taking a mug and taking a small sip. "Not bad."

He then looks to the south of the island, per Merseth's request, and says, "Hmm...did the shapeshifter cause that?"

[Asin]

Merseth: "Not sure. Perhaps an investigation is in order. Maybe the shapeshifter caused it, maybe not."

*Merseth drinks the ale* "Decadent. Truly decadent."

[Greatness942]

Roy downs his mug of rum and checks his back pocket, grinning when he feels the grip of his 9mm service pistol. He then walks towards the battlefield, saying, "Well, if we need to investigate, I'm ready to do so. Coming along, Merseth and Papyrus?"

[Asin]

Merseth: "Yes, sir!"

*Merseth stares at the 9mm service pistol, having never seen such a thing before.*
