But flying body parts are most amusing to children.

Ficticious, good sir! A gentleman is equal if not superior at deriving pleasure from the visage of sundered, skyfallen flesh!

Aka adults like seeing shit blow up and spread gore too

Yeah, but that is easily attributable to the phenomena known as "the inner child". :P
Not to disparage people who love flying limbs, of course! Cortex Command is the most wonderful of games.

Why yes, yes I did.

Not the first time I've sigged something Yoink has said, actually.

This was fun, until;

I tried to do something with crafting.

So I proceed to haul 100 basic materials across towns which takes me like 20 or 30 minutes.

Then the a mysterious teammate, who is suspiciously very close to me, watches me as I build the truck only LOCK it infront of my eyes.

I lash at him at every channel possible and he comes out and complains: "Got fuel? This is empty."
Then I proceed to WTF him the hell out and then he realizes I left 3 fuel cans inside.

He then proceeds to leave with my truck and I start shooting the truck because I lost all of my nerves.

He stops and goes like: "Dude, you damaged my truck."

And when I keep swearing on the local/team/all chat, he gets inside and I tell him to never leave the truck again or I am going to shoot him.

He does leave the truck and I shoot him and kill him. BUt the truck is still locked.
During the firefight I was badly wounded and I die of blood loss.

Another teammate, this one very helpful, decides to unlock my truck for me with a wrench. I thank him and applaud him for his wisdom.

I go south and prepare plans to make firearms, I am in very far-off base very away from the frontline, what can go wrong?

SURPRISE enemy with a machine gun kills my vechicle and me in three seconds.

:/

Today I learned: I am not as calm as I thought, because this is like first time after 5 years of gaming that I managed to RAGE , bravo.

That guy was dicking, but you made the #1 mistake:

Don't rage and don't get greedy.

You only need a truck if its actually useful for the group. You as a player are fuck-all useless. You do not march around alone. That's how you get murdered. You do shit as a squad, as a team. You work together.

I fuel up everyone's truck I see, I run around giving away guns, ammo, grenades, why?

When I say lets go, people listen. People follow my commands. People respect me. When I lead a defense, people do as they should, without friction. When I need someone, people remember and help me out. When I say I'm assembling a squad to attack position X, people volunteer. When I say I'm at grid B7, random #3 asks if I need any ammo. Rather than run halfway across the world, mine, manufacture, go to the armory, and wait, we have all of that automated. We all cycle and take turns doing what we enjoy doing, mass-producing, mass-mining, mass-transporting, using every truck we get for production without bitching about the truck we just made/got, until we're doing well enough that people can start having their own vehicles.

Vehicles are for hauling shit around and tactically inserting fireteams, not for people to hog.

You literally wasted an extremely vital truck that could have turned the war around because you got pissy.

Shit, I fucking give trucks away like candy.

Why? Because you as a single player can produce and contribute a measly fraction of what a well-oiled industrial machine can produce when people share and work together.

Learn it, live it, love it.

Then, and only then, will you actually get anywhere, and subsequently enjoy this game.

(And yes, I learned this the hard way.)

You could have easily just reported it in chat and put him up for a kick-vote. Or asked him nicely for it, publicly, so people can see his justification (if any) and back you up if you decide to put him up for a kick-ban.

Play smart, bud. This is war, after all.

Ps, seriously, don't go anywhere alone. Ifyou're traveling, ask if the route is clear. If anyone's watching the route for cover fire. Relay troop movements. As if anyone wants to come with you.

You'll survive way longer that way.

(Trust me, I'm a rager too, I know how you feel)

This specific was a crowded area, (I literally saw two people near me when I died), it was in a city and I was just about to park my truck. And I saw A LOT of people conducting the usual crafty busisness.
I talked with someone about this on the chat and it is like this because the "spawn in the wild" button spawns you anywhere, regardless of the front.

I am going to give the game a chance tommorow.

Yeah, wild-spawns can be annoying. Me, I use the opportunity to scout so I can relay data to the team. I LOVE it when I spawn in the wild :) How else can I get past all the enemy's defenses? :P

Just wait til you get spawn camped... Now *that* is annoying as all hell.

This is exactly why you need to make sure your team has people producing spawn supplies and building spawn locations, and that you actually go to a barracks or town hall and designate it as your spawn. No supplies, then you get random wild spawns, rather than a concerted re-pop-up in allied territory en-masse

I was very intrigued until I saw this and frowned a little.

(Hint, I'm a Linux guy.)

And the implication from the requirements table implies that this runs on DX11 so there is little chance of it getting either ported directly, or working through Wine.
For shame, honestly, I'd love to check it out,

Nah, it's UE4 so a port should be possible. they say they'll look into it in the future. unfortunately I'm in the same boat at the moment, waiting for the future.
