Took hours to hammer out the iron reinforcements, but I finally have enough to replace the foundations of my main keep... which is unfortunately made of two layers of foundations since grass was poking through the bottom layer and that looked ugly. I'm going to have to remove the top layer to upgrade the bottom, and hope that what I have built already doesn't collapse. Then again, even if it does, almost everything I built is outside. I also miscalculated how much brick I needed, I've only produced 1/5th of what I need for the foundation replacement.

Also finally managed to take someone down with a truncheon, after getting the first strength perk and a blunt fitting upgrade. Even better, the NPC camp nearby had a dancer. Had to kill her since I didn't have my truncheon ready, but I assume a new one will spawn in her place.

Here are some stats about running a public Conan Exiles server for the week from 21 May to 28 May. The server has been up for two weeks.

We have had 38 unique players come through and play for at least 1 hour (up from 22 last week). 25 players have spent more than 10 hours on the server (up from 14 last week). In total, players have spent 1,030 hours on the server (up from 350 hours last week). On average, each player has spent 21 hours on the server (up from 15 1/2 last week).

On average we had 23 unique players per day visit the server this week, including around 5 new players each day. They played an average of 87 hours of accumulated total time per day, over this week. That means each person played an average of 3.8 hours per day, over this week.

The server goes down for a daily reboot. Two times this week it also went down due to issues at the server host. These outages last for about 5 minutes. I also slept through a patch which meant the server was not available for another 6 hours. That is a total of 400 minutes of downtime this week, which would be a monthly uptime of 96%. Without the patch interruption the normal uptime would be 99.99%.

The server is ranked #897 of 21,531 total Conan servers, which is in the top 4% of all Conan servers. I can't figure out how that is ranked versus the Official servers. Its higher than some, lower than others.

I changed two Purge settings this week. I removed the time restrictions on Purges, so they can happen at any time. I also doubled the Purge value increase, from 15 to 30, which means we should see twice as many purges. I am in a clan of 10 people, which is max, and we saw one purge per week so far, with these changes we should see two per week. To see the exact settings check in game Settings / Server / Purge.

On my server we've got purges happening every day so long as the clan in question has enough people on.

We've realized that the human-led ones always bring named thralls. Usually fighters/archers, but sometimes they bring alchemists and Blacksmiths and the like. It's like a delivery service.

I'm on a public PvE, which means we have 4h/day for purges... and more often than not, the purges are of the "foo attacks; 5s passes; foo was defeated" false-alarm variety. So between only having 4 purges per day (it IS only one per hour per server, right?) and a ton of people with maxed purge meters, and buggy purges... I've seen two abortive hyena purges since launch, and that's it. It's a bit frustrating, but that's public servers for ya. We have a surprisingly good community on my server, though, so it makes up for it for now.

I actually haven't seen any "aborted" purges, is that a public server thing? I know those tend to be more buggy, at least for now. Ours can happen once an hour as long as 2+ people are on, and it gives a 5m warning because it tend to trigger as soon as enough people connect rather than 2 people fully loaded in.

It may be a base placement thing, IDK. Some people on the server have it, some don't, some do and don't. It's flaky, though, that's for certain.

Tower 2 is ostensibly done.  Original stated goal is complete, you can take a elevator(s) up to the top then an elevator across to Chaosmouth.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Top floor also includes a publicly available map room.  So anyone in the area that wants to use it just take the elevators seen on the left side of the image.  I had to make that... abomination (that killed me twice making it) because I hit the limit for how far vertical elevators will go.  Also you take your own life into your hands when you take it, I didn't want to take the time to install any safety features.

I'll get some screens of the internals and the view from the top at some point.

Now that Tower 2 is done we have begun work on Tower 3.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

On the left is the Annex Tower, or Tower 3.2.  It contains the wheel of pain, a mitra shrine and a publicly accessible map room.  Just take the side stairs to get to it.

The main tower on the right has the beginning of a public tavern(The Lonely Nord) on the second floor.  Has a stage, over looking balcony and eventually a out door deck.  Zero furniture but am planning to fix that at some point.  If you are traveling to the Volcano why not stop by.  The neighbors get a bit rowdy but the bouncers keep them in check.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
While I was out exploring I found a giant face that was an entrance to a cave.  Inside was this massive chamber.  My first thought was this was a boss room.  I was right, partially.  The shot is from the other side after climbing up.  Down below is a bunch of spiders, ruined boats that are on fire, and a sand reaper boss.  I climbed up the pillar in the center.  Kind of let down the chest only had a few coins.  Behind is a further passage that leads to the Highlands, so I found a shortcut from the jungle to the snow.

I still want to know how those boats got up into the jungle then down into that cave and are still on fire.

That specific boss reaper drops unique loot.

Yay, the foundations of my main building are now stonebrick, 50 foundation blocks total(5x5x2). The rest of it is still sandstone, and it's going to be a pain in the ass to manufacture enough brick and iron reinforcements to build up the entire place. Looks like I'll have to build multiple furnaces and blacksmith workbenches, but supplying them is going to be a grind, even now a full load of stone takes most of the durability off my pickaxe(which has a tool efficiency upgrade). Shaped wood shouldn't be as difficult, since it crafts quicker and less is needed.

When upgrading the floor, I had to admin mode a bit because it wouldn't place the center block correctly, costing me materials I didn't want to re-craft.

Hello Exiles on the Fleetwood open PvP server. I'd like to announce the opening of the Godsclaw Tavern. We are located in the Highlands on the way to the North, due West of New Asagarth and right on top of the Skyholme Ruins. We are open 24/7 and offer free food (and soon booze) to all. Invite your clan to sit at our feast table, have a drink at the bar, watch our dancers, or just enjoy the finest view of the Godsclaw (when its not raining). See you soon! :-)

I've found it to be very helpful to use a stone pick with the best available upgrade strictly for harvesting stone. That way I can go out, harvest 'til it breaks, repair it with stone, and keep going. With a T3 upgrade I wanna say I get 6-7 per strike, so it's not that much of an efficiency loss and the ease and cheapness of repair makes it worth the hassle of keeping an extra tool.

Ok, so my clan's base on our PVE server is getting pretty good, we are pensively confident enough to post pics. We are located in the Jungle/Swamp.

Treehome is the second base we built on this server, but the old one was made of sandstone and has been abandoned. It is built completely out of insulated wood with thatch for any roofs (aesthetic choice). I am proud to say that I designed and constructed the layout and main floors of it myself. Multiple clanmates participated in gathering resources and adding decorations.

I wish we had more pictures of the ridiculously amazing landscape surrounding us and the scenic view thereof. Will post more of that later.

Came up with a great idea for replacing the coal in my furnaces: use fish instead.

Specifically, build a few dozen fish traps, toss all the unappetizing fish into the fluid press for oil(1:1 ratio). Exotic fish are for food(10:1 for oil), and savory fish are that awkward middle one that aren't as good for either food or oil(5:1 ratio). Oil ties with dry wood as best for fuel(48 seconds per unit), and dry wood is more difficult to obtain. Fish are all but effortless to harvest, and have zero maintenance after the very cheap cost to build the fish trap(10 branches, 5 twine).

Now I can use all my coal for tar instead(also via fluid press), an important step for sustainable steel.
