Year 16: three nations are contacted, all on the far side of the massive lake. Their names are berduroan, kendrelan and Merris. They tell of an actual ocean far to the north...

King David, intrested in magic as always, founds the great college inside the capital, home to the high council of wizards and witches.
King David also declares war on the goblins at last, and takes three fortresses by the year's end...
An heir is born, Matilda. She seems to be a very fiesty child...

Year 17:

The armies quickly manage to destroy what remains of the goblins, and puts a special group of very opptomistic and friednly wizards around the Binding Fountain to study it, while also spreading happiness across the realm!

Meanwhile, King David(Age 24) decided that now they've finished dealing with the goblins they can start dealing with the crocodile people from the swamp, quickly managing to secure a small foothold.

Also, with the barbarian threat ever looming, he makes sure to heavily fortify the northern border, making it much less likely that they're going to take too many casualties if the barbarians ever decide to attack.

The three nations on the other side of the lake are sent multiple trade route oppurtunities, with two of them accepting and the third promising to kill your entire empire for insulting him with, qoute,  'stupid diplomatic cowardly pieces of absoloute bullshit shite trade deals.'

Now that the Great College is founded, many great wizards start to appear, the three most notable being Askrosh of Hell-Fire, Taintola the Necromancer(!), and Lovuanatae the Nature Mage. Two are given permission to teach any apprentice they want, while Taintola is only allowed to teach an apprentice approved of by the king.

Year 18:

In the near east
With the goblins wiped out, new colonists head into their lands expanding the borders of the kingdom.

In the south the armies attacking the crocodile men in the swamp are quickly taking heavy casualties due to the swampy landscape and the crocodile mens' natural camoflage.

In the north a scouting party has spotted a Merrisian party of roughly 17 men heading into barbarian lands while riding on strange 7 legged boar creatures! Their purpose is unknown.

In the east the dwarves still seem to be busy with whatever they're doing in the mountains. All exploration teams who try to get there have either mostly died from the cold or fallen to their death.

In the west numerous coastal cities have been found abandoned and almost all fishing ships have failed to return to harbors.
Possibly attacked by Merrisians or worse? At any rate, sailor count is at an all time low.
A river has been found connecting the ocean and the lake with a waterfall.

Year 19:

Still Peace. The colonists from the east expand quite nicely, few to none problems.

Filthy Merrisians! The barbarians are back, and Merrisians have also been seen among them! King David(Age 26) realises that if they are going to stop the barbarians they are going to have to find a way to deal with the Merrisians first. Many less casualties than usual are taken during the attack, but King David continues to reinforce the north border, starting work on a giant wall to connect all the defensive castles.

Throne Secured. David's wife Kesrian(Age 26.) has another child, this one is male, which means the throne is now secured. Meanwhile, Matilda(Age 3) accidentally releases a massive burst of magic when visiting one of the border villages with her parents, making David very happy that his daughter can use magic, but also worrying him with just how much power the little kid has. Not to mention that she can't even control it!

Some exploration teams to the east manage to succesfully report back saying that, yes, the dwarves are at war with the crocodiles, but they also seem to be fighting massive hordes of goblins. One exploration team claims to of seen an actual demon leading the goblins in one battle, yet the dwarves didn't even seem to flinch, they just continued walking into the goblin army while hacking and chopping until either they were dead, or all the goblins were dead. Apparantly, the demon manage to escape and fly away.

Exploration teams sent to the coastal cities claim that they have seen some sort of black mermaid race occasionally come to the coastal cities and seem to search for something, before returning underwater. Occasionally, scouts say that they see white mermaids engage in small skirmishes with the black mermaids, making everyone see the peaceful lake in a whole new light, they must be constantly fighting down there!

Meanwhile, three heroes Karantosh the Wise, Labsmoth the Stealthy, and Tikrushkar the Great Warrior are sent into the labythinth...

Year 20: Months 1-8: The barbarians send small expeditionary forces to halt progress on the wall. They are mostly all fought off.

Month 2: The number of crocodile men was horribly overestimated. A newly arrived army manages to drive back the crocs and even to take a few villages. A small scouting party reports that the swamp extends a long way south.

Month 3: Highways are established between the Beleti city states and the main kingdom.

Month 4: The coastal Beleti city states of Kudna, Luprin, Ajdar, and Frac are pillaged by Merrisian pirates. The cities sustain heavy losses in cargo from Kendrelan and Berduroan.

Months 5-6: A rainy season causes increased crop yield and allows for the kingdom to prosper.

Month 8: The barbarians shrink back and stop harassing the builders. The wall is finished.

Month 9: King David (Age 27) Approves the building of a massive forge complex in the eastern end of the kingdom. It should take roughly a year to make.

Months 10-12: The winter is hard this year. It has snowed the majority of the days. Some die from exposure. The war in the south has picked up pace with the winter. The crocs are freezing and they fall back.

Month 11: The barbarians start to die off. In their desperation, they move farther north and join the Merrisians.

Month 12: A student in the college mixes charcoal, sulfur, and saltpeter together, hoping for a better preservative for the grains. A small explosion results in his death and the discovery of gunpowder.

The nation is far bigger then it is in that map, the entire thing is supposed to be the nation, or there's only be two barbarians in existance.

Year 21: a good year.

The dwarves send their engineers to help the Belathion folk study the new technology, since they had it
long before humans, in exchange for help with their wars. David agrees.

The best harvest in years comes out, cleading to border growth to the west and north.

The barbarians are gathering under a cruel new warchief, going north was not a good idea...

The first graduates of the college of magic roll out, and are sent to help various towns and villages throughout the kingdom.

The three heroes sent into the labarynth are presumed dead at last.

The war with the creatures in the southern swamp Is going not so well, with several humdred Belathion troops killed at the battle of north wyck.

The war with the creatures in the southern swamp goes off to a bad start, with several humdred Belathion troops killed at the battle of north wyck.
Start? We've been fighting the crocodiles for a few years now...

Year 22:

A new school is created for magically gifted children to train at and study before they are old enough to go the college.

Matilda(Age 6) is sent to the School of Magic Exellence, also called SOME, and learns how to control her very powerful magic, but not before managing to cause an earthquake that, luckily, hits far away from anywhere important.

Meanwhile, the massive forge complex is fixed, and some OK blacksmiths come from the dwarven kingdom. Of course, by human standards they are almost godlike in their crafting abillity.

After extremely heavy losses he crocodile race, now named The Kilstrithian Clans, retreat deeper into the swamp, very, very far away. It is unlikely Belthia will ever manage to get to the other side of the swamp just because of the sheer size of it.

Now that the barbarians have retreated to go closer to the Merrisians to try and survive, further exploration of the north and north west is available, revealing the ocean that the three other nations talked about. King David(Age 29) decided to make use of this by ordering three massive walls built to keep the barbarians on the other side. Work is expected to finish in the year 24.

Year 23: A horrible year.

A surprise attack by the strange black mermaids reveals they have powerful ocean magic and wiped out all but one of the coastal cities with thunderstorms of tremendous power.

Numerous Merrisian pirates are captured because their burning ships crash on our side of the lake.
They tell tales of black mermaids bringing purple lightning upon their ships.

The forge has exploded! A saboteur has destroyed the forge and killed many of the workers!
A merrisian assassin was apprehended, but not before shooting Matilda in the head with a dart filled with a strange poison.
She is incredibly sick and may not survive.

The forgotten beast Undolush 'reaper of grass tufts' has surfaced from the volcanic hamlet the dwarves had, and is charging for the capital! No magic seems to work on it and its purple scale hide is incredibly durable!

The crocodile men have been silent.
The barbarians have been silent.
The merrisians have annexed kendrelan! few refugees escape due to the fact no one wants to cross the doomed lake.

Berduroan crys for help! Merris is attacking them!

Year 24

Luprin the last of the coastal cities has survived with the showing of a hero Gotre The Mermaid Slayer. With most of our coastal cities wiped out Merris has decided to expand their influence around the Lake of Mist disrupting trade and establishing colonies north of Berduroan. The War between Berduroan and Merris continues to rage.

Explorers have discovered a plain that leads into a large forest in the South East. They claim that there are a race people with weird markings on their neck whom they call Karaazs. The Karaaz tell tales of strange monsters that inhabit the Weeping Forest.

Matilda still has not recovered from her sickness and seems to be getting weaker and weaker as time goes by. There is said to be a plant that can cure her sickness that can only grow in the high dwarven mountains.

Rumors from merchants traveling from Merris tell of a massive golden fleet that sailed from the North of the Ocean landing onto coast of Merris, described as men of iron not much is known about them other than the fact that they began marching eastwards to the uninhabitated lands by the ocean and began building settlements. It seems like they are here to stay.

The Magicians have continued their study of magiks and other magikal things...
The front in the swamp has remained in a stalemate.

Dwarves have crowned King Imic The Steelborn, with his crowning the dwarves have begun trying to master lava.
